Much better looking in the car than it is in the listing.
I was put off by the 'sticky-out' levers that you use to release the clamps. But having decided to give it a go, I'm so glad I did as they don't obtrude anywhere near as much in real life as it looks in the listing and, more pertinently, they actually work very well indeed. The phone is held securely, it's easy to insert and easier still to remove. And no annoying rattles from cheap spring mechanisms. I have it installed on my windscreen and it has gripped securely since day one (about 2 weeks ago) and hardly wobbles around at all when driving - nice and solid. Well worth the extra money and I'm so glad I chose this premium product. The listing shows it closed without a phone inserted, it doesn't look as horrible when it's actually not in use and waiting for a phone as the 'sticky-out' levers are pushed in and closed up - see my first picture, why they didn't put one like that in their listing is anyone's guess. Second picture shows it at a nice length and easy to get to phone screen with an outstretched finger from the steering wheel (when I'm stationary only, of course).

Best car phone mount I've ever used
One of the better mounts I've used, this was bought for a road trip around France and Italy, not knowing i our rental car would have satnav or not. The suction was great, maybe a little too good as it left a ring on the dashboard - oops! Having the arm extend out to be closer is a plus point on this unit, it just make everything a bit easier to see. One small downside to that is being further away from the anchor point, it does tend to wobble a bit more on uneven roads. The "snap" connection, pushing your phone into the mount against a button and it snapping like jaws on the phone, grasping it tight filled with confidence right away. It was more than happy with the size of my iPhone 7 plus, I never once worried it was going to let go. Aided by the quick release buttons by squeezing just being the phone is very natural, the hole process makes mounting and mounting very seamless. I really recommend this mount. Pros - Great suction mount for either windscreen or dashboard - High quality materials, build quality is very good - Intuitive phone mount system Cons - Suction can leave marks on dashboard material due to semi-adhesive suction cup and strong vacuum created when mounted - Wobbles a little bit when extended

Though sticky pad gets grimy after years of use it can be fixed!
Finally a long term review. I've had this mount since 2017 and used it quite a lot for the first year and a half. It's incredibly sturdy and always remained attached to the windscreen. Vibration through the mount was also very minimal as long as you've tightened all the knobs. The main issue I had with it is that pressing my phone against the back doesn't always trigger both arms, and sometimes requires a few goes. The knob on the rear of the mount can also be quite tricky to undo because there's not much to hold onto. I decided to write this review because after a year of not using the mount the sticky surface became covered in dust. This was my mistake. And while it probably would still work okay it's obviously diminished from the original surface. However I managed to fix this by pouring a layer of PVA glue onto the upright pad and letting it set. Miraculously after peeling the glue back the next day it removed all the dust and the surface is very sticky once more.

Very effective and great value, but not quite perfect
Having trusted and used Spigen for their phone cases before, I was confident their car mount would be of good quality too. Also coming highly recommended in both professional and public reviews helped me to make my choice. I have the Galaxy S8 and bought this mount in order to use it as a dashcam + navigation. The Kuel performs well; holding the phone securely, doesn't obstruct the camera lens and is easy to lock and unlock the phone holding mechanism. The adhesive gel pad coupled with the lever arm seems to be holding well so far on my dashboard. I plan to permanently leave it in place so only time will tell if UV changes it's properties or the stickiness naturally wears off under road conditions. Whilst driving, potholes and uneven roads do tend to cause small vibrations and wobble through the mount - i.e there is no stabilisation built in but that is to be expected with it's impressively low cost for the quality. The resultant footage is still smooth with no noticeably annoying jitter... this could be in part due to some image stabilisation on the S8 so your mileage with other phones may vary. The part that holds the phone is padded enough with a soft material so as to not mark or damage. This mount is not perfect though - it suits my needs as a dashcam perfectly fine (that I rarely move), however If using as a simple sat nav and/or entertainment, you may want to be able to quickly and easily move the 'head' freely. With the current design, the plastic nut needs to be unscrewed, the head adjusted, then the nut done back up tight again.. all effectively blind and in reverse when the mount is stuck to the dash and facing you! My Garmin sat nav mount, as an representative example, has a metal reinforment in the ball joint, so you can freely move the unit around whilst in use and angle any way you like. The Garmin probably weighs more than my S8 so this cannot be the reasoning for not reinforcing the joint. The Garmin mount is quite simple and similar and has lasted effectively like this for me for years. Overall I am happy with the Kuel and it does it's job... just could be a tiny bit better to make it perfectly easy to use.

One of the best smartphone holders on the market right now.
I was kindly sent the Kuel car mount by Spigen and I must say it truly is one of the best smartphone holders on the market right now The mounts one-touch technology easily locks your phone in place with its easy lock & release motion which allows you to place and remove your phone with ease. The device is compatible with all devices up to 3.5” which is perfect if you share a car as everyone will be able to use it and rotating your smartphone is made super easy with its 360 Degree One Touch ball that allows changing from portrait to landscape super quick and easy. If you are looking for a holder that is super simple to setup and use daily then I highly recommend buying one today. If this isn't the one for you then I also recommend the iOttie Easy One Touch 2 Note: If you found this review helpful then do let me know by clicking the "Yes" button below. A Phone Holder You Can Trust
Really good phone holder, I am using this with a Samsung S7 Edge and it has a really strong hold, having been using this for 3 months now I really can't fault it. The only time this failed was during some really hot weather and I had already removed my phone so didn't cause me any problems, in all honesty I would expect it to fail during extreme temperatures given how supple surfaces can become. I currently have this mounted on a Ford Mondeo dash and this has a semi soft covering but with the suction cup and re-useable adhesive it holds very well. Arm can be extended by a few cms which will probably come in handy depending on what care you use. Very confident grab action when you place your phone in the cradle and easy to release by using the 2 arms that you can see extended at the bottom. Definitely got respect for this brand and will seriously consider then for future needs. Don't delay, buy it! You wont be disappointed.

Don't buy this! Came unstuck on first use :(
I don't often leave reviews these days but you need to avoid this car phone holder. I stuck it to my clean, flat dashboard in the evening when it was cool. Held it firm for a while and activated the suction lever. It all seemed nicely stuck. Went to the car next day in the summer sunshine, put the phone into the holder it promptly fell off the dashboard into my lap. Didn't even last 60 seconds of driving. Just a total failure. Please buy another brand and save yourself the frustration.

Great Product, 1 minor annoyance
This is a great product but it has one very minor annoyance. I have been using this product in my vehicle for a couple of days now and I am finding it great. It has an excellent amount of flexibility meaning I can put it wherever is comfortable but without obstructing any view of the road ahead. I currently have it in the dropped position (which I saw in a facebook advert) which allows me to have it mounted on the dashboard and drop the actual phone to in front of the radio. My only issue with this product (and may I emphasize how minor it is) is that the built in cable slot on the bottom of the phone cradle is way too small for pretty much all cables and this means that it is constantly falling out, to the point I no longer use it. Not a big deal as it doesn't make much difference to the main function of the product but it would be better if it is provided to have it work! All in all though, I'd argue that this is the best, most reasonably priced, flexible phone cradle on the market. A must for any driver on the road. But remember, don't use your phone while driving!

Great car mount from Spigen! Well designed and sturdy, holds my large and small phones with no issues.
Very happy with this car mount from Spigen. As always, I am always impressed by the quality and well thought out design of Spigen products, this car mount is no exception. It locks securely onto the dash of my 2015 Corolla which has a textured plastic to look like leather. Despite it not being a smooth surface I had no problems getting the gel suction to adhere to it. The 3 adjustment areas are all easy to configure and easy to lock into place with twist screws. You can turn the part that holds your phone to do portrait or landscape mounting, there is an arm that extends to bring it a few inches closer to you if you desire and there is a pivot point near the base to raise it up or down. You can easily mount your phone into it with one hand and remove it with one hand as well (though I'd probably use two hands to make sure it doesn't get dropped when removing it). Also what you might not realize is you can flip the whole thing over at the bottom pivot point so that it extends very low and close to the dash (or whatever you're mounting it to). This is how I have it configured it my car as you can see in my attached photos. I will add some photos of it with a phone mounted in it later, when I took the ones below I only had one phone on me at the time. Great mount, very pleased with the quality, well worth the $27.99 I paid.
