Excellent 9.9/10 sling way more comfortable, adjustable than the one provided by the NHS
After having labrum repair surgery to my shoulder I was given a standard sling by the NHS, where the velcro attachments were rubbish and it didn't even last 2 weeks (My arm has to be in a sling for a minimum of 6 weeks) Also my kneck was very sore from the lack of padding and rubbing of the provided sling however this sling comes with a cushion type 'rest' that is adjustable and comfortable. I purchased this sling and it is very well made and looks much better when going out (Better than a blue velvety sling anyway!). It offers excellent support to my shoulder, breathable and lightweight and I will most likely be purchasing another one when I have my other shoulder operated on! I recommend anyone who is going to be wearing a sling for a while to buy one as this is a very good investment and you'll be much comfier than the slings provided.

Comfortable support - recommended.
I purchased this for my wife following a recommendation from my local pharmacy. It has made a big difference to her arm comfort by providing excellent support while she recovers from a long term problem. The Neo-G Arm Sling is a very good fit, is very well made and easy to use. To date my wife has used it every day as she is so pleased with the difference it has made for her. Recommended.

Good quality, comfortable, highly adjustable
Well made and durable. Washable too. I found the straps easy to adjust with good quality strong velcro tabs. The waistband was an unexpected 'must have' for me as my injury required both horizontal and lateral restraint for a time. The sleeve is generous in size and breatable, and I was even able to put the sling on after putting on a light jacket.

Not fit for purpose as too difficult to get on
Generally, when you're wearing a sling such as this which includes holding your arm tightly to your chest, it is because you should avoid moving the arm too much. This sling can do that once you have managed to get it on, but unfortunately it is really tricky to get on without wriggling around a lot. As other reviews have mentioned, the straps are too long, particularly the over shoulder strap on the opposite uninjured shoulder. What this means is you have to somehow get the strap right over the top of the shoulder without moving your injured shoulder too much, an almost impossible task. There are tricks you can do to try work around this such as not undoing the strap but that means contorting your body to try to fit through the loop instead and still moving your injured shoulder. On top of that, again as other reviews have mentioned, the velcro part of strap overlaps the edges unless you are ultra, ultra precise, which you can't be because of how long it is you're trying to guess where you're pushing it into place on your back. That means the soft padding sliding section always catches on the velcro part as you try to shift it into place, which means more tugging and pulling and movement that you should be avoiding. Once it is on it is comfortable but often you'll just be putting it on too low because it is too tricky to get it on correctly. It isn't fit for purpose in my opinion and I went back to wearing my old NHS given sling and twisting the straps around to make the velcro last another few weeks.

OK for short term injury
After a bike accident that's put me out of action for 12 weeks minimum (clavicle broken in 4 places, shattered wrist and a few broken ribs to boot.) I wanted a wanted a better sling than the standard hospital. I tried this 'breathable version for a few day" isn't comfortable. Would maybe be good as a spare for going to gym. But if its for full time wear the same company (Neo -G) do a comfort sponge version https://amzn.eu/d/dkEicNc . And the difference is lightyears, snugger fit, better neck support, much better material. I'm probably gonna keep both, but if your only buying one buy the Comfort Sponge Model. Happy Healing ๐ https://amzn.eu/d/dkEicNc

Easy and comfortable
Really comfortably. Arm sits in the sling fully. Thumb loop is really helpful as well. Easy to put on and take off one handed.

VERY GOOD SLING!
I had a type 3 AC dislocation on 04.09.2011. I crashed a quad bike in las vegas desert and i ripped my collarbone away from shoulder tearing completely through 3 ligaments. I ordered this to better restrain my arm as the USA hopsital sling is good quality but the strap was too thin and it cut into me. basically the straps on this are very comfortable, i was breathable, and you can wear it with your black superdry jacket and it makes the sling less obvious. after the operation to repair on 24.04.2012 i re used this sling as the foam one the hospital gave me was rubbish, it was cheap and nasty and hot, this sling when all fastenings done up just stops your arm moving, its comfortable to wear asleep aswell. i've used it for 2-3 months in total. and the velcro is still strong.

Wonderful choice compared to hospital sling
Purchased this sling to replace the one given by an hospital after having rotator cuff surgery. Not only is this sling inexpensive and a great tool for recovery, but it also will exceed your expectations. Materials allow for great airflow, support, as well as all day comfort. Can be a little cumbersome trying to put it on alone but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. Great choice!
