hygger Aquarium Heater 300W/500W/800W/1000W, Submersible Fish Tank Heater

I have had eheim and fluval heaters and let me tell you, they do not hold a candle to this one especially considering the price. The eheim was always so annoying as the temperature you set would never match the tank temp even after countless attempts at calibration. Also, the suction cups used on them are very very weak and begin to be less effective over time. In addition to this due to the design everytime you want to adjust the temp you must stick your hands in the tank and manually move the dial (and given the fact that I could never get the dial temp to match the actual tank temp it would produce, this was such a hassle)! I only wish I would have discovered these amazing heaters sooner. Stick it in, and then you have an external control unit that you set the temperature with with the touch of a button. Truly a beautiful thing. I purchased 2 of the 300W units for my new 75 gallon build (I know I could have purchased a higher wattage but I prefer 2 individual units in the event one fails there is still a backup and if it fails in the sense that one misreads temp and overheats, it is not powerful enough to overheat the tank). I have both of them mounted behind my 3d background next to each intake of my canister filters in opposite corners and it is performing FLAWLESSLY thus far. Much like every other Hygger aquarium product, this is of the upmost quality and I am such a huge fan.

These heaters work faithfully day in and day out. I’ve been running one in another tank for about two years now without a single issue, which is exactly why I bought this one for a new setup in a different room. Temperature has stayed stable and accurate, and the heater does its job quietly in the background, no swings, no surprises. My fish stay comfortable, active, and stress-free, which is really the whole point. Build quality feels solid, setup is straightforward, and once it’s dialed in, it just works. I don’t worry about it, and that’s the highest compliment I can give aquarium equipment. Reliable, consistent, and dependable enough that I came back for another one.

Worked amazing for a few months but now throws an error code for the water being too hot, I have an ink bird on my aquarium and it’s running at 75 degrees. After cleaning the unit and leaving it unplugged for a few hours I plugged it back in it resounded the alarm and told me the water was too hot. Bought in January sensor failed in april. Was a cool product while it lasted

Easy set up and it did not take long to get my tank back to the temp it should be i will buy this product over and over my last hygger tank heater lasted me 4yrs of none stop heat for my fish

I purchased this heater for a new tank we called “the works” canister filter, custom acrylic tank, programable led lighting (also from hygger) tho whole nine yards and its led controller looked to be the Cadillac of heaters! And it is! However after about two months of use it would not work and the alarm for out of water would not turn off. We were extremely disappointed as it went with our tank perfectly. We decided to reach out to hygger as their other products have been amazing. We were not disapointed, they worked with us responding rapidly and provided a new filter at no charge amazing customer support from an over seas niche company. I would not hesitate to purchase any hygger item especially now having dealt with their outstanding customer service

Hygger are the best products out there. No disappointment here.

**Update** After submitting my review, a few business days later a representative reached out offering a replacement or refund. Since I didn't need a replacement as my fish needed a replacement ASAP, I requested a refund which they took care of, which I appreciated. **Original** Had this for three months and it stopped heating, when I come down in the morning to find it is 10 degrees lower than it should be. It is showing it is “heating” but has 0 watts of power going to heat. Resetting isn’t helping. Glad none of my fish died yet. Until then it functioned great. Poor reliability and can’t recommend something that can’t even last that long. Also the suction cups are way too small for the size of the thing, but that’s more of a design annoyance.

I have only used this heater for about a month now. So far, its the nicest heater I have used. I have been in the aquarium trade for a long time. It has to be one of the nicest heaters i have ever used. The only things I don't like are, the size of the heating element, and the feel of the button on the controller. The button feels cheap. The heating element is huge, I kind of wish it wasn't orange on the sides, that way it would hide better. I like how the controller shows actual wattage used, and it shows the temp by the tenth degree. Its easy to read with the white led. if it holds up well, ill definitely be buying another one for larger tank. I have this on a 46 gallon aquarium, will be going onto a 65 gallon.

Lo compre para un acuario marino mediano de 280 litros....chulada de calentador, hace correctamente su función al calentar el agua y medir la temperatura, lo único medio malo es que solo puedo configurar la temperatura en grados Fahrenheit y no tiene opción para grados Celsius que aquí en MX es lo que tenemos, pero como tengo un termómetro alterno para medir la temperatura y este si trae ambos pues me facilita la conversión y confirmar la correcta temperatura, su tamaño es un poco grande validen el espacio a donde ponerlo y su color anaranjado hace que resalte, pero si tienen opción de colocarlo en un filtro externo fuera de la pecera seria ideal. Lo recomiendo, a mi me gusto y funciono bastante bien....calienta el agua muy rápido.

Puedo poner la temperatura de la pecera y se mantiene en el rango que necesito.
