Canon NB 13L Rechargeable Battery for PowerShot G7X - Grey

I recently bought my self a Canon G7X Mark II camera for my vlogs, and I decided that I would need a spare battery for it as well. I have read all the reviews of the much cheaper version of this battery, and I also read that the much cheaper version does not function the camera properly at times. I decided that if I was going to spend a good few hundred quid on a decent camera then I may as well spend the correct money on a proper battery by Canon. I ordered this battery on Thursday and it arrived very promptly the day after by the Amazon man. This is a good little batery and it does exactly what it says on the tin really and I cant say more than that. Again tho if any one is spending out a lot of money on a decent camera then why would you not spend out on the right battery. This is the right spare battery for my new camera and I am very happy with it. Full stop

I brought this as a spare battery. I rather have a genuine battery than a fake one. I have a 5 year old camera my dad gave me to borrow. Only 1 battery is a propper cannon one. The other two are cheap chinese copys. Never but these they don't last. I ended up buying my own camera. As the is no way I'm buying a new battery. For a 5 year camera that is not mine. I have saved loads of time on my filming as I don't wast a day on waiting for batterys to charge up then go flat 30 mins later. to some it seems over priced but work put how much time is saves over time you use it.

As far as I can tell this is a genuine Canon battery, after searching for a suitable lower priced battery I gave up on compatible batteries as I could not find one with consistent reviews on full compatibility. At £53 this is a very expensive battery, but it fits the charger properly, fits the camera properly and displays the state of charge. If you do not want to risk damaging your camera or invalidating the guarantee then a genuine battery is really the only option, albeit at quite a cost.

This is a genuine Canon replacement. Ridiculously expensive, but at least this one works and lasts. I bought a non-Canon battery a few months ago and it jammed my camera twice with a message sayinbg it was not a genuine Canon part! So, in future despite the high price I will always order genuine accessoies and parts.

Genuine Canon battery. Pleased I bought it as a battery in the G7x will only last about an hour of heavy use - which is quite a long time because that's not usually continual use. Still after the first 6 months of use I've switched batteries a dozen times or so and felt a little bit smug/justified forking out for the back-up battery each time I did it.

I bought this battery for my new Canon G5X-ii and, as you would expect as Canon branded product, it works fine. It is also worth noting that Canon stops some of the functions of the camera from working if non-Canon batteries are used. The camera can be heavy on battery life but that's just a fact of life with a high end compact like the G5X.

From past experience, it pays to buy a camera battery made by the camera manufacturer. This is a Canon battery for my Canon camera and is an excellent back up to the Canon battery my Canon camera was supplied with.

Whilst the genuine batteries are more expensive they do last a lot longer than any third party options. Manufacturers are also getting clever with their tech and some cameras are able to detect when a third party battery is being used and this then can cause problems. Amazon was by far the cheapest & quickest option...why make life complicated ?

What can I say? The battery is just like an original - size, shape, color, charging, use. No off-brand. This is just like the one that came with my camera. Great!
