Dee Calf Length Wellington

I have owned a pair of these wellies for 18 months. Here is my review. In summary I am very happy with them. Here is why: 1. They have proven to be 100% waterproof. 2. Because they are short (mid-calf) they are easy to put on and to pull off. Much easier than full-length boots. 3. I have worn them on various surfaces (concrete, tarmac, mud, sand, ice, snow). The boots grip well on all these surfaces. 4. The Amazon description is a little misleading - it refers to ‘safety boots’, these are bog-standard black wellies, they do not have a steel toe cap nor steel shank in the sole. 5. The absence of the steel sole shank means that when using them for gardening and for standing on a fork or shovel to drive it into the ground, the sole will deform a bit and put pressure on the mid-sole of your foot. This does not bother me but I would not recommend these to a professional gardener who would do a lot a digging. 6. The fit is good. But I am a man with fairly wide feet. Ladies with slender feet may find them a bit wide. 7. They are not insulated. In winter l wear them with thick socks and find this works well. Equally l do not find them sweaty in summer - probably because the mid-calf length makes them a bit more ventilated than full length boots. 8. Overall they are light and comfortable to wear for long periods. 9. When you take them off they stand up rather than flopping over like many full length boots - this is a minor point but it makes my hallway a bit neater! 10. They are made in Portugal. 11. Lastly, value - at about £13 pounds these are excellent value. I have worn them a lot for long walks and for diy and gardening. They are still in good shape and waterproof after 18 months. Over all, good unpretentious wellies that are comfortable and good value. Recommended.

These were bought to replace a previous pair. They had split at the back and a new pair was required. The quality is ok. They keep you dry until they split. They are a short pair as I find full length wellies uncomfortable. They are easy to wear and comfortable. They are also good value for the money. If you prefer to use and replace regularly, these are ideal. Short wellies that are comfortable if you do not find long wellies comfortable to wear.

I always buy Dunlop wellies. They may not be the fashion wellies look but they are comfortable and durable. I already have full length green ones (for 3 years now) but wanted shorter ones also. Thses fit as expected. I normally take a size 6 and although Dunlop tend to be fairly wide on the foot it makes room for thicker socks. These dont feel quite as wide but maybe because they are new. Certainly an excellent fit if you have wider feet or like chunky socks. The top of the leg part is quite wide. I've had half wellies before that seemed to rub the calves slightly but these are too wide to do that. You cant really feel them at all. Being so wide I'm not sure if rain would run into them from your trousers. They are not stiff and stick out so maybe not. I'm not sure why half wellies are more expensive than full wellies. £13 isnt much for years of wear though is it. You can certainly tell that these are well made and quality material. I would expect them to last me a long long time even though I seem to wear wellies most of the year dog walking and gardening. A good investment at relatively low cost.

I was hesitant buying these at first and considered other more expensive options like the muck boot. These didn’t disappoint. They have good grip, they are wide enough to tuck your trousers in and they are surprisingly comfortable. I used them walking the dog in a very muddy field which was water logged and stayed dry, no blisters and completely waterproof. I’m a size 5-6 and bought a 6. They fit perfectly and usually wellies are a nightmare to get off, these aren’t as bad because of the width.

I have bought more wellies than I have had hot dinners! The more expensive ones, the famous name makes, ones that manufacturers give amazing reviews for....All have caused me dissapointment .... split in months, cracked, leaked, uncomfortable hard inside sole, and very poor quality for the price. One famous make pair which weren't cheap, the base on both started to seperate themselves from rest of boot whilst out walking my dog. I ordered these Dunlop wellies, never noticed they were advertised for men, but as a woman size 5 they fit me like a glove. Very well made sturdy boot, have a good thick sole, and no hard uncomfortable inside (like so many I've had in past.) So pleased with the sturdiness and quality I ordered a 2nd pair immediately. May even order a 3rd (as spares,) as I am so very pleased with them. Price too really good for such a quality welly. Forget the rest...BUY DUNLOP.

So far so good in terms of leakage, but the boots are not particularly comfortable and the looseness around the calves leads to rainwater ingress (although would suit those with wide calves). A very soft sole, meaning you feel every stone, twig etc. They were cheap, but in hindsight I’d have spent more and got more sturdy wellies.

For the price, these are pretty good. Definitely waterproof. They seem to be a little oversized, but realised that's probably so you can wear thicker socks as they're definitely not the warmest. The sole is a little thin so you do feel more of the ground you're walking...well, with thinner socks anyway. I bought a black pair and they seem fine. They are functional for what you'd need wellies for. Oh, and being shorter wellies I.e. ones that don't go over your calves, they fit nicely (I tend to have problems with the longer ones).

La taglia 38 EU che ho acquistato è perfetta, aderente ma senza stringere, e il design unisex li rende adatti a chiunque. Sono anche facili da pulire: un semplice risciacquo elimina ogni traccia di fango o sporco, il che è un enorme vantaggio dopo le passeggiate nei giorni di pioggia. Con una qualità così elevata a un prezzo così competitivo, li consiglio vivamente a chiunque cerchi uno stivale affidabile e versatile.

Great wellies, easy to put on

Bottes T 42 en caoutchouc très souples. Mon mari fait du 41, et elles sont un peu grandes, mais comme il a un coup de pied assez prononcé, il les rentre facilement. J'avais acheté le même modèle pour moi en 39. Les avoir utilisées sous la pluie, c'est bien étanche.
