The inverter looks well made; the plug for the cigar socket is a nice snug fit; the device itself has 2 USB-A sockets and 2 USB-C sockets (one giving 65w and suitable for charging my laptop). All the USB sockets worked properly, and when charging my laptop from the USB-C socket charging was steady, even with a UK Mains plug in one of the mains sockets. Two mains sockets seems a bit redundant, as I can only imagine ever needing one. Worked equally well when I plugged a mains charger into the mains socket. When charging my laptop the device got warm, but not hot. Also the plug in the cigar socket was also just warm - not hot. The cable was long enough to allow me to use the device with a computer from the front passenger seat - would have been fine with back passenger seat as well. A nice portable package, perfect for on the move. Very happy with this purchase.

This is my second inverter, the first one ( different brand and smaller because only had a single socket and was sold by a well known car accessory shop in the UK ) was nice and compact but extremely noisy due to the fan. I'm happy to report that this one is a lot quieter but still can be heard. ( i haven't tested it in extreme conditions because i only use it to power a ultrabook in my car which doesn't require too much power). my only gripe is the power supply for my laptop (which is a bit like a phone power supply instead of the usual kettle cable which then plugs into the traditional 'brick') is top heavy and the sockets on this inverter do not seem to hold the plug pins very tight, so the power supply does tend to come lose and 'fall out' but that is not a major issue for me.

Being as I have to do a lot of work whilst travelling, there are occasions when I need to use my MacBook and the battery isn’t going to last the duration, so I needed something to assist me when a wall power socket isn’t available. This item is ideal and worked perfectly to allow me to spend 4 hours parked up in an area where I could not access a regular power supply and powered my MacBook to allow me to carry on with business as usual. It simply plugged in to my power supply (cigarette lighter) in the car and charged my MacBook. It has a switch on the side to power it on and also a little light which indicates when there’s power. It has 2 USB ports also which come in handy. Someone else reviewed theirs and said the power sockets were a loose fit - I can report that mine has no such problem and fitted very well with no risk of loose connections or the plug being dislodged - quite the opposite infact. It was a very secure fit that required a bit of a tug to separate the plug from the socket. It is a reasonably sized, light weight bit of kit which will fit in my glove box, under my seat, pocket on the back of my seat, door pocket or even in the pocket in the centre console. Would highly recommend to anyone who travels and needs to have a power supply handy. FYI this will not power hair straighteners and will likely blow the fuse in the car, so be sure to only use it for low powered things.

I actually purchased this 2 years ago, how time has flown in, it was as an emergency back up in case of a power cut and for car or travelling use, I already have a small single socket 100w inverter that has been brilliant but I wanted more power and sockets, I have only started using it now and must say it's impressive, I see some reviews state the fan is a bit noisy but I find it to be very quiet even with no other sound to mask it. It's been working perfectly for two months with daily use. I just started using the USB sockets today and found it's great that you don't have to press the on switch as they are always live, the switch is only to turn on the sockets, I hadn't bothered reading the instructions lol. The price is about the same as 2 years ago and I have now noticed other brands for about £5 cheaper that have less USB sockets but one is USB-C PD20w so a bit more advanced. Happy with the purchase for my current needs.

Purchased the same product back a year or so ago and was awesome, wired it into my caravan and fantastic 240v to run a small tv, was handy for the usb ports to sort the phones out too. unfortunately this time around fan would not come on and overheated within 5 mins and then switched off due to overheating, thought it was a one off but no! ordered another one and that didn't work either. so i swapped it out for the old one and that worked fine, it looks as if the new ones are not as good as the old ones. disappointed and gutted at the same time. fingers crossed they will get sorted before too long, have had to return the one, unlucky for me can't find the lead for the other one.

Brought for a friend for a birthday present, this is what they thought of the product. The inverter is a perfect size for my small camper van, it stores nicely away in a cargo net when not in use. The 12 volt plug is nicely made and fits tightly into the 12v van socket, this is an important element which tends to be over looked by some 12v appliance manufacturers. The main unit is clearly well designed and the lay out is good. I have used the unit to charge a laptop, tablet, ravor and electric tooth brust. The unit does not get hot and it works as it should. The price point is just right and I highly recommend it. As you will see from browseing other inverter products, you really will not find a stylish, compact product as this.
