Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation, 100 Ivory, 30 ml

Let me start by saying I am a total beauty product junkie. When it comes to foundation I've tried A LOT of expensive brands... Dior, Lancome, Chanel, Givenchy etc. etc. Last year I decided to try a cheaper one for Glastonbury, in case it got lost in a field / down a long drop like so many of my possessions previously. After much deliberation I chose Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation, which I fell in love with and have been using until now. The only slight issue I've had is a shiny t zone later in the day, which led me to this, Rimmel's Stay Matte foundation. Firstly, I like the fact it comes in a squeezy tube. Yes, of course it doesn't look as nice as some of the fancy glass bottles, but it is so much easier to get the last out when there's not much left. When it comes to the foundation itself, on first glance I wasn't quite sure what to make of the consistency and appearance. As other reviewers have said, it's like a paste, which doesn't sound that appealing, but honestly it's great! I use a foundation brush and it goes on like silk with a lovely velvety finish. It feels light on the skin, it's easy to blend and it gives really REALLY good coverage without looking like you're The Mask. It maintains a matte appearance throughout the day and I can't emphasis enough what a smooth finish it gives, it glides over enlarged pores and covers any little imperfections. I liken it to wall filler, which smooths over cracks and wear and tear, but I'm not sure I'm doing myself or the foundation any favours with that analogy. Basically it's a great product, superb value at around 6 quid and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I have naturally oily and porous skin, in my teens i suffered a lot with Acne, although this tube has changed in appearance i do remember Rimmel stay matte being my go to, budget friendly foundation and it is good at covering acne and can also be layered up. I have included a photo, bare skin before and just this foundation in Ivory after. I like to wear face powder on top of this foundation too, i feel it goes well with this foundation and provides even more coverage and a better, long lasting matte effect. I often choose this foundation in favor of more expensive foundations since a more expensive price doesn't always mean better quality, at least not in my case. This is my all time favourite foundation and the Ivory colour matches perfectly to my skin tone, neither too pale nor too dark. I think a good tip i've learnt is when applying to smudge it down into the neck area too, this prevents any obvious foundation lines. From being a spotty teenager to now, in my early 30s this has always been my go to foundation, i've tried others, they've been a little hit and miss for me, but this one has never let me down, budget friendly, great coverage and feels lovely on my skin. I love Rimmel Stay Matte.

Lovely product! I cannot fault it. With quite sensitive skin, it's quite difficult to find a foundation that works for me and is affordable. It is very good at covering up acne and produces a perfect matte finish when blended properly (but does need to be blended properly), which is exactly what I need with my skin. With regards to the colour, porcelain is very very light. I have fair skin but the porcelain is too light for me, while the Ivory is perfect. A little of the product goes a long way and does not look greasy. I have purchased it twice since my original purchase as I cannot fault it.

I've got oily skin with blemishes and some pigmentation spots around the eyes and cheeks. This means I have struggled to find something concealing enough to cover problem areas but light enough to not go pasty and start looking patchy as the day draws to an end. I have tried many products, expensive and cheap and I have to say this product ticks all the boxes for me. It's goes on easy and is easy to blend in. It makes my skin look porcelain smooth and matte and covers the imperfections well, even dark circles are covered well - no concealer needed. As the day goes on, I have noticed that my skin seems to stay fresh-looking without looking caked in make-up. I'm a big fan of natural looking make-up, so this is a clear winner. I only rated this 4 stars as I'm curious to see if it causes breakouts, but so far (after 3 days), it hasn't caused any spots :) I'm 25 by the way, if that's relevant.

I tend to get quite a shiny face most of the time, and it can make normal foundation look powdery and patchy, but not this. This foundation is more like cream and does not take much to blend in at all. It doesn't shift or become oily throughout the day and stays exactly as it was put on. It also goes perfectly with contouring and other things without going pasty. It goes on quickly and it stays on, giving you a perfect ivory porcelain look. I love this product and I will definitely buy again! Oh and its good in the rain!

I have to say I was slightly disappointed with this foundation. I only applied the tiniest amount and it came out really thick and was extremely difficult to blend in. Also, the coverage wasn't the best and it didn't cover all of my blemishes as well as I had hoped. The choice of colours really isn't the best in this foundation. I got it in Ivory because it was the lightest colour they had and I have quite fair skin. However, even the lightest colour came out slightly orange and was not a good match for my skin tone. However, the price of this foundation is very good and you get alot for your money, Also, it is good for oily skin as it is a good matte finish. I would not buy this product again though!!!

Great product at a good price

The colour match is correct for my skin but has a very grey tint to it. The mousse doesn't blend too well but if you get the amount correct the coverage and staying power of this foundation is AMAZING. It is very mattifying, and for someone with very oily skin and dark circles, this makes me look as flawless as possible (still don't look like a Rimmel model but who does?) Considering it is called StayMatte, it does exactly that... it stays matte! A recommendation after using this for a while: use translucent loose powder lightly instead of heavy handed coloured pressed powder. It can look cakey if there is alot of it on. If you're willing to negate the grey undertone by using a bronzer or some blush, especially if you have oily or combination skin which cannot be tamed, I suggest you use this ASAP!

Buena cobertura, realmente mantiene la piel matte pero si tienes piel mixta debes preparar muy bien tu piel previamente porque de eso depende que se vea uniforme.

It can be used without the need to put powder after it because it's already matt . Skin absorbs it and yet it provides good coverage . It's easy to distribute . My skin is light and I don't like a foundation whose shade Is lighter than my skin color . So this shade works perfect for me and it gives natural color .
