First impressions: Compared to other primers I have tried (from Loreal and Revlon to name a few) I was surprised at how silky this primer felt. It took a little getting used to at first, but it was actually very pleasant. Application and quality: As for how it worked as a base, I am very pleased with it. It made the application of my foundation super smooth and did a good job blurring my pores. I am prone to oil on certain parts of my face, and was a bit worried that the hydrating aspect of the primer and the silkiness might contribute to an oily appearance, but with my use of it so far, I've not had any such troubles. It leaves my skin nice and matt, but feeling hydrated. It's incredibly lightweight, so it's fantastic if you don't like the feeling of having a lot on your skin. Value for money: I would say it's worth it. The price seems standard for primer, the quality is great, and a little primer goes a long way so it should last a while.

I am so utterly impressed with this reasonably priced product, it is amazing 👏. I agonised over whether to go down the botox/filler route, but it is just not for me, I prefer authentic. But one of the things that I find so annoying is that my foundation has started settling in my smile lines around my mouth. This product eradicates that problem completely, it's total magic! As well as solving that problem it delivers a constant supply of moisture to my thirsty skin meaning no more dry patches which foundation highlights further. I am quite simply in love with it and recommend it highly 😍

I've gotta say, I'm really lovi' the e.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer! I've tried a few other primers before, but this one really stood out. The texture of the primer is very soft and silky. I'm pretty sure it would work beautifully on someone else's skin - someone without enormous pores! I've always had a problem with my pores and I used to use Smashbox's primer which seemed a bit better. I haven't worn makeup for a few years for various reasons and recently decided to get back into using makeup and I love it. But my foundation always sinks into my pores, looking very obvious and a bit gross. I will have to find another primer to fill these pesky holes! Probably a good primer for people with already gorgeous skin (NB I hate you), but if you have big pores DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

I love this! I’ve tried lots of primers over many years and find a lot of them too sticky. This just glides on and you need the tiniest amount for your whole face. It’s not dry, sticky or oily. My makeup went on brilliantly after I’d applied it with no “makeup slippage” over hours. It’s lovely to just apply if you are having a makeup free day also. I also discovered it’s great to smooth out the back of your hands! Highly recommend as it will last forever and a great price. Love it!

Estuve muy dudosa de comprarlo por la mayoría de comentarios y no estoy para nada arrepentida de haberlo comprado. Yo soy de piel grasosa sobre todo en la zona T y de sudar mucho de la cara. El primer me ha ayudado muchísimo en todo, a sudar mucho menos de la cara, ahora es mínimo el brillo que se me hace con el maquillaje después de un rato, da mejor apariencia al maquillaje, se ve lisa la piel, todo el día siento la cara hidratada, es ligero después de unos minutos, al igual que el olor “desagradable” se pasa después de unos minutos, me imaginaba un olor horrible por lo que comentaban y para nada, sólo es un poco raro pero normal. Usarlo con polvo translúcido ayuda mucho más a las pieles grasas, yo uso el Airspun. El único detalle que sí tuve fue que la tapa venía con un bretadura muy pequeña que luego con el cierra y abre frecuente se hizo más larga y le salieron otras después. En primera la forma de mandarlo empaquetado no es la correcta ya que es un producto frágil y sólo lo mandan así solito en un sobre con plástico que siento no le protege nada. Igual siento que podría ser que la tapa es muy frágil ya que se le hicieron otras bretaduras solas después.

This primer is great stuff! It takes very little to cover the entire face... a little goes a long way. It makes my skin feel really soft and feels clean and natural. Will definitely buy again!

Ich habe den e.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer jetzt eine Weile getestet und bin insgesamt positiv überrascht. Gerade wenn meine Haut trockener ist, hilft er wirklich dabei, dass sich das Make-up gleichmäßiger auftragen lässt und nicht fleckig wirkt. Die Konsistenz ist leicht gelartig und lässt sich gut verteilen, ohne zu kleben. Meine Haut fühlt sich danach direkt etwas glatter an. Foundation hält bei mir damit auch länger, vor allem um die Nase herum, wo sie sonst schnell verschwindet. Was ich besonders mag: Er fühlt sich nicht schwer auf der Haut an und verstopft bei mir die Poren nicht. Für den Preis bekommt man echt eine solide Qualität. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt ist, dass die Wirkung bei sehr öliger Haut wahrscheinlich nicht ausreicht – aber für normale bis trockene Haut finde ich ihn super. Ich würde ihn auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen.
