xcivi 4L/1Gallon Distiller Water Container for Megahome Water Distillers

This is a BPA free plastic water container that works well with my water distiller. It’s nice having two, because it takes several hours to fill one, that way I always have water available.

This looks like my container that came with my Vevor Water Distiller. I wanted an extra one so when using during cooler days, my distiller puts off so much heat that I turn my heater off in my motorhome. I can use this morning and evening for a nice warm temp. Using it during summer months, I have to open windows or the heat is too much. I may purchase another one or two in the future. I would recommend. Easy to use, holds a gallon or so, fits good under my distiller, good quality, very happy. It's actually better than the one that came with my distiller. This one passed the leak test whereas the other one did not.

i managed to break my glass decanter that came with my Megahome water distiller. This container won't quite hold all the water that the Megahome can distill so I have to be careful when filling up the distiller lest I get a lot of water on my countertop from flow over of the container. It drips some from the spout hole when first decanting but not a whole lot. That said, it works fine, it hasn't leaked in the several months that I've used it and it was decently priced.....especially in comparison to a new glass decanter. The glass decanter was just too expensive.

Product was purchased to replace the original water tank which could hold 1 1/2 gallons of water which was leaking. This one holds 1 gallon of water which I prefer. The funnel from the old container fits the new container.

Perfect, great to have an extra jug for my purifier, fits perfectly, comes with the splash guard and a cap, just like the one that came with my distiller. Took off 2 stars as I think it is terribly overpriced at $26.64. An empty plastic jug should be under $10, I'm not sure why it's so expensive. If I didn't need distilled water for after my surgery ASAP, I would've spent more time and checking different websites trying to find a jug at a more reasonable price.

The first thing I noticed was that there is no rubber on the bottom and it's slick. Slides everywhere on the countertop. The jug has a Max Fill line on it that is about an inch down from the top which is considerably less than a gallon. The metal drip guard cap fits so lose that if the drip touches either side, the water travels down the side, across the top of the jug and all over the counter. I finally had to quit using it all together after cleaning up water. If you accidentally touch the jug, it slides so easy this will happen. The white plastic cap, used if you want to store the finished water, doesn't seal when screwed down. Water easily seeps out the cap if you tip the jug at all.

Good cheaper alternative to brand name

My family has a lot of distillers for clean drinking water, but when the carafe breaks, it's hard to find a decent replacement. This is a very decent replacement, but for a plastic beaker, it should cost anywhere near $30+... I'm still giving it five stars because that's the quality and purchasers can decide on whether it's worth it to them or not.
