What a brilliant hob. Our hob & oven broke in the summer - as we’ll be getting new ones when our new kitchen is fitted we couldn’t buy one. This hob has been a godsend! It is great quality, reliable and cooks beautifully. It is really simple to operate and is very good looking. The price is amazing - we can’t recommend it highly enough! It’s been a life saver…literally! Using this hob, microwave and a ninja fryer to cook our meat, we produced home made blinis and a full roast family Christmas dinner, all of which was delicious. Couldn’t be happier! You won’t be sorry if you buy this.

Bought to replace an IKEA branded tabletop hob, this is a very nice piece of kit. The raised legs are stable and help with cleaning unlike many tabletop hobs which rest on low rubber stoppers, the front knobs are easy to use and easily turn into the three heat settings per ring. Once at temperature the heat cycles in and out which can be a bit disconcerting as when the light goes out you are not quite sure if the power has gone off or it is at temperature, but it is a useful feature which helps controllability. The brushed steel effect is slightly more difficult to clean compared to a smooth finish as the brushed effect seems to cling onto spills more but apart from that it is a very useful and attractive hob unit. Ideal for bedsits, caravans, or like me, small kitchens where a full size cooker or hob would take up valuable space, it performs well, looks good and was worth the money.

For the price, it's hard to find much wrong with the Duronic Hot Plate. It's robust, fairly easy to clean (try to avoid spillage if possible, as the unit is very hot and it will continue to cook anything spilled) and it's fast to heat up. Once it reaches peak temperature, it takes a while for it to cool down, so plan ahead when it comes to simmering or low-heat cooking. I don't tend to leave mine on full heat for too long because it maintains a very hot temperature. If you're experienced with cooking then it will be no problem at all. It's boiled pasta, spaghetti, cooked bolognese, curry, all with no problem. Not sure what else they could have offered at this price, it's very good value!

Good value for money works well better with handles for moving around when hot.

I bought this as an emergency but it was embarrassing for me keeping guest waiting. It's very slow to boil.It felt like cooking with a candle. When switched on be prepared for a long wait before it heats up then it slows right down. I'm disappointed 😞

I bought this as a standby for use when I run out of bottled gas for my range cooker's hob, as deliveries are sometimes difficult in the rural area where I live. It works well and heat levels are easy to control. It is light in weight and easily portable.

I bought this product about 1 year ago. Initially I had issues when turning it on and it would emmit fumes and smells as the black stove tops seemed to 'burn'. The whole device then go covered in this black substance that came off a result of the plates heating. Eventually about extremely light use, the stove mid use started losing heat despite being on full power. It eventually colled completey down and no longer heats up either side. This device is faulty, a waste of money and just dangerous in general to have a cheap stove top like this lying around given the terrible quality. Approached Amazon for the 2 year warranty with hope, was told to contact the seller who told me "well not our problem, you can send it back at your own cost to the UK, and we'll try 'repair' it. Would recommend sticking to a known brand and save yourself issues down the line when this cheap product breaks down.

A perfect size for my pots and helpful as I no longer wish to use my Aga. The appliance heats up rapidly and I’m still adapting to that and how far to turn the knobs for different types of cooking because it shows min and max heat but the levels are not broken down further, it will be practice makes perfect. The unit makes no noise which is good. I’ve found it pretty easy to clean, although when things have boiled over it takes a bit more elbow grease as things burn onto the surface but once clean it look lovely. I’m pleased with my purchase.

It doesn’t get very hot. It takes a long time to heat up. It has high electricity consumption.

Ottimo articolo.. l'ho utilizzato per friggere. l'olio era talmente caldo che si è sciolto il mestolo in gomma. Dopo ho regolato la temperatura ed è andato tutto ok.
