I would normally go for a familiar named brand when buying stuff like this but a needed a cheap back up torch to go with my battery petzl. There seems to be a lot of these that are similar. So I went for the cheaper one on amazon.I'm really pleased with this. It's brighter than I thought it would be and has various settings for white and red lights. You toggle thru the setting but it's no big deal. Nobody dies! The buttons are fluresent which is a nice touch and easy to find. It seems to last a while which was the whole point of not taking loads of batteries on a long trip. Seems to charge quick enough.. It's comfortable to wear for walk/trekking. Not sure about running as I don't run. It's downwardly adjustable. Again handy. Don't know about waterproofness but certainly seems well made and splash proof. I think if I are going underwater or caving u would be spending a small fortune on a named brand if your life depended on it.Overall great product and worth the cash.

I have now owned this headlamp for a month and am so impressed I am compelled to write a review. It is absolutley brilliant!One charge has lasted a whole month while staying in a cabin in the wilderness in NZ. It has had daily use and also been subject to rain. It has far outperformed my boyfriend's battery powered Energizer headlamp - both in terms of brightness, battery life (outlasting a set of three triple As which are already dim) and convenience of use. The fact that the white and red LEDs operate on separate switches means no more endless cycling through modes you don't want to either reach the setting you require, or to turn it off. A micro USB charging cable is supplied, but it works with any micro USB cable.It is light and comfy to wear, and is easy to adjust the angle for close work or distant illumination. I am about to order more.

I bought three of these for camping. Being rechargeable means we can leave them with our camping stuff and just charge them when we go via USB chargers in the car or at the campsite. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear.The main beam is bright but narrow. I'd have preferred a wider beam and you find yourself turning your head quite a bit to see things slightly off to the side more clearly.Having the red light on a separate button is smart - in previous designs you had to cycle through the bright main beam to get to the red light, completely destroying the night vision the red light is intended to protect. The buttons are next to each other however, so if you don't use the torches regularly, you'll find yourself hitting the wrong button every now and again.The torch can tilt while on your head but this is where my only gripe comes in. Over half the time, when I tried to adjust the tilt, the whole torch fell off the headband. In the dark, you can't see to re-attach it and of course can't use the torch to see because it needs to point away from the headband when you re-attach. So in each case, I had to hold it by hand until I got back to my lit tent.That's particularly annoying since in most cases where you want to tilt the torch, you'll be doing so for close-up work where a hands-free head torch is most useful. In my case, I was filling water containers at communal campsite water taps and had to end up juggling the torch with the container and the tap.For the price, I can't complain too much but I'd otherwise have given these a five star rating.

This head torch is fab, I'm so excited to use it!! Really easy to adjust the head band, comfy to wear. 5 settings so you can have bright white light, a dimmer version and flashing, then also a red light on or flashing. Easy to switch between, just press a button. Specific feature I wanted that this one has (not all do) is that the light can rotate so it can point straight ahead or dip it down. Great for walking the dog at night without "full beaming" oncoming cars!!! Just knock the beam down towards the pavement!! Bonus feature is that it's a rechargeable battery!! Didn't know you could get them until I saw this one! Saves on buying spare batteries!!! Not had to recharge yet though so haven't tried that feature yet. Very happy with this purchase, fantastic price too!!

Works well when fully charged, but the battery runs down fast and as a result, it only achieves a dim light until it stops altogether

I brought this in advance of some night walking I'll be doing in May so can't say about battery life yet. I have tried it out a couple of times so far and it's a pretty awesome light.The light is comfy and much lighter weight than the very old Petzl it's replacing. A charge level indicator of some kind would have been useful but considering the low price it's not a deal breaker.It's really handy having separate switches for red and white lights - it also means there's a secret disco mode that they don't mention in the booklet - red and white both strobing - discovered by accident :)

I bought the head lamp to use when decorating in a room where the natural light enters the room for only a short period in the afternoon. I thought that the lamp would provide light in the dark corners. The product was described as having three modes for the white light - constant bright, constant dim and flashing, and 2 modes for the red light - constant and flashing. Whilst the red light worked fine in both of it's modes, the white light either just didn't work, or came on briefly before fading away to nothing within 3-4 seconds regardless of mode. Recharging the lamp didn't solve the problem.As a consequence I am returning the lamp for a refund.

So pleased with the one I bought, I immediately bought 2 more.Good quality product with USB charger rather than fiddling with replacement batteries.It has a bright white LED light that can flash or be on constant, in addition to the red light. The lights can be on together or individually.As I'm a wheelchair user, I need my hands to self propel, so a head torch is ideal. It is bright enough to read by.The button control is easy to use, even with my impaired hands.

cette lampe frontale est plein d'astuces:- les boutons des leds rouges et blanches sont séparés. On ne risque pas d'allumer la led blanche quand on veut uniquement la rouge. très pratique et très utile pour ne pas perdre sa vision de nuit et beaucoup plus pratique que les leds à 1 seul bouton sur lequel il faut cliquer plein de fois pour passer du blanc au rouge avec appui court et long, ce qui est source d'erreur.- recharge par micro USB. D'après la notice en 6h, mais en pratique avec un bon chargeur de mobile c'est plutôt 2 à 3h. Plus besoin de piles rechargeables!- la batterie est en fait une batterie de mobile Nokia très courante : une BL-5C 1020mAh 3.7V qu'on peut facilement changer et qui ne coute pas cher. On peut donc avoir plusieurs batteries chargées- l'éclairage blanc à 100% est très puissant : led de 5W. Seul regret, il est vraiment très concentré. Bien pour voir loin, mais pour voir plus près c'est un peu trop étroit et puissant. ça se résout facilement en mettant un bout de scotch translucide blanc devant la led ce qui va diffuser la lumière- mode d'allumage main libre par détecteur infrarouge actif : la lampe émet un faisceau infrarouge et si il y a un objet réfléchissant assez proche elle capte le reflet et s'allume ou s'éteint. On passe la main devant pour l'allumer, pis une deuxième fois pour l'éteindre. Pratique quand on a des gants. Par contre si on s'approche de quelque chose trop près, elle s'éteint. Bien en extérieur sans obstacles, moins en intérieur- l'éclairage rouge est très bien : assez large, pas très puissant, bien diffus, bref juste ce qu'il faut pour bien préserver sa vision nocturne.idéal pour l'astronomie par ex.- la qualité des plastique semble correcte sans plus (ABS-PC finition basique) à voir dans la durée.Bref pour le prix c'est top.

La lampada frontale è di ottima qualità, molto comodo il fatto di caricarla tramite usb (cavetto incluso) basta avere a disposizione un qualsiasi carica telefono. Per questo motivo inoltre il peso si abbassa in quanto non servono le pile. Luce molto potente e utilissima la luce rossa per evitare fastidi alle altre persone ma che al tempo stesso da possibilità di vedere ciò che ci circonda.

Me parece muy buena compra. Es muy practica porque tiene 5 tipos de luz (3 blancas y dos rojas) y son convinables entre ellas. Tiene banda elastica para la cabeza y lo mejor, es que se recarga por USB! no hay q pensar en pilas!!!

Positivo in un senso, negativo nell'altro: Considerato il costo, la luce che emette e la leggerezza e' un'ottimo prodotto. Ne ho ordinate due, peccato che in tutte due non funzionino le luci a led rosse, ho scritto al fornitore, mi dicono di mandarle indietro, ma e' piu' la scocciatura del resto. Non riesco a capire perche' molte aziende vendono prodotti non corrispondenti alle caratteristiche della descrizione.
