Water Kefir is also known as Tibicos and Japanese Water Crystals, the origins of it are uncertain but it seems to be quite popular in various parts of the world. Many people choose to drink kefir as traditionally it is believed that it may aid digestion. This may be due to the various strains of probiotic organisms in the Kefir, they may aid with digestion and also produce some B-vitamins. Some people believe Kefir may assist with immune function due to the beneficial micro-organisms in Kefir competing with harmful bacteria and microbes in the gut.
