Toppik, Hair Building Fibres Powder for a Thicker-looking Hairline 5

Been buying this product consistently for years, unfortunately doesn’t offer the miracle of growing the front sections of my hair back but does a good job at filling the gaps and making hair feel a bit ‘thicker’ in those areas.

This powder is amazing, and so easy to use. My husband washes his hair every 2/3 days and the powder lasts all that time so it only needs to be applied twice a week. To get the result in the photo of my husband shown, I brush his hair through and lightly spray it with got2b glued hair spray, pat the spray then apply the powder, pat the powder and style with got2b spray. So impressed!

My husband has gained so much confidence through these type of products, and I must say that as someone who does his hair for him, this product is the easiest to work with. If you use it right, then it has lasting staying power even through the hottest days. What else you'll need: a thin fluffy makeup brush, makeup/baby wipes, super strong hairspray such as got2be glued and a hairline template- you can use an old headband or make shift one yourself with paper (actually the best option for the natural jagged guideline). Your hair must be absolutely dry and brushed strategically in place that best gives coverage to the thinner/balding areas, as once the fibres are on, you can't brush it. Always start from the hairline, and don't worry if excess product goes on your face etc- just use the fluffy make up brush first to sweep, and then the makeup wipes. If you wrap a makeup wipe around your finger, this will give you more control when sorting out the hairline. Again the fluffy brush against the hairline really helps give it a natural finish. You must make sure to pat your hair gently as you go along to disperse the fibres! Once you've given a gentle yet thorough pat down, check for any patches and reapply accordingly. Use the makeup wipes to get rid of the excess products from your face, remember to check back of neck and ears. Once happy with everything, spray your hair in the same order as when you applied the fibres- cover your forehead as best as you can, and spray the front in the direction of where the hair is naturally leaning to, or manipulate the hair as per usual styling- just remember, do not brush and be gentle with movement. Don't worry if it appears wet or crystallised from the hairspray, it won't run and will look natural once it's dried. Once you've given it a thorough blast, I would use a makeup wipe to just go over the neck etc as the excess spray can make the skin feel tight and uncomfortable. For the colour options, my husband has mousey brown hair and uses the medium brown which is a perfect match. Cons: -the amount of waste from the excess fall out is disgraceful considering how little product you get in the first place. -if used alone, this product does not last long- one breeze or sneeze without the hairspray and the product is gone. -it can be tricky to use. tidying the hairline is where the issue is- but the right tools, not being rushed and having patience will sort that problem. -so expensive for how much actual product you get, and that's before the waste! .

It's ok, a decent product as long as you take the time to apply it really carefully. Otherwise it can clump/lay on the scalp & then you just look dirty. Probably only suitable for people with slightly thinning hair. Quite expensive.

This powder is amazing. As you can see, my hair is very thin and around the crown area you can see my scalp. The Toppik powder covers this completely and makes my hair look fuller instantly. Really easy to use. I style my hair first then see what areas need covering. Shake the powder over the areas and then pat in. Finish with hairspray so it stays in place all day!

Its a great product but it requires to be applied with skill and only for certain people. 1. You will NEED HAIR on your head! If you have not enough , this will create an effect of an "ashtray dipped head" and will look awful to say the least XD. ( My pal with less hair than me tried , and we had a lot of laugh with the result ) This works for me because I still have a hair, only thin. It does great job thickening them , but it won't produce hair ! 2.You will need fixer spray ! Dont skip this ! Or you might be up for embarasing surprise ... 3. Colour is great and the way this behaves is awesome . Cycling Jogging Walking , light rain and strong wind no problem! 4. Surprise - you can actually brush and comb yer hair ! however buy a pro comb - they are ANTISTATIC!! IMPORTANT. 5, I would say your hair would need to be longer 5-10cm at least (or longer ) - then the effects are better , very short men hairstyles might not create enough "foundation" to allow the fibres to anchor themselves properly. 6.dont put too much , this is a concealer not alternative to real hair :) It WON'T produce hairs . It will only make you look awful if you overdose .....

In afro hair this made blading worse. This product ate away at hair I had remaining which was surprising and disappointing. Havent had this issue with other brands Im sure to then have to rebuy their product but was not the results I was looking for. Do not leave in your hair for long periods like overnight.
