Hi, i have an appliance with a rating of 16 amps. would i be able to use it with that?

If the load is 16A, you should have an electrician install a 16A combo socket on a 20A electrical circuit. Using this adaptor may overload the 13A plug, socket and circuit - especially if it is a spur - whirl could lead to expensive electrical repairs. Thankfully, a 16A socket would be relatively cheap to install.

Most extension cables are showing as 230v and this connection lead is 240v. Is that an issue?! I don’t know how electrics work. Thanks.

UK mains voltage can vary between 230 and 240. This cable worked fine on various voltages.

Is the 13amp plug heavy duty?

To be frank, what are you running through it. You should not overload any socket. 240 v 13 amp maximum draw. Most sites will limit your draw on current / amps as far down as 5. The construction of the item is top class if I have misunderstood your question. Thanks

If I plug this into an extension cable from my house....what type of one would you recommend so that when it’s wet outside that it won’t blow the fuse

If the 3 pin plug is going to be putside you need to use a waterproof plug box and an extension lead designed for out door use. Probably better to buy a longer lead caravan lead!
