Simply excellent
Nice thin and flexible blade, very clean cut -- excellent for use together with a mitre box. It also promotes relaxed hand posture which significantly reduces fatigue.

Sharp and accurate saw. My tenon saw is history!
I have taken to using and loving Japanese saws over the last few weeks, and this one is no exception.I used this to cut 20 linear metres of scotia to finish off my laminate flooring. The floor was laid in an entrance hall, with 6 doors, and not one single one of those doors has an even or straight layout of edgings around it, so there were plenty of small cuts to be made to get everything to fit and look neat. The end result is really good, and I'm so pleased with myself for saving a lot of money by doing it myself. These saws cut on the pull stroke rather than the push stroke as traditional UK saws do, and it does take a little while to get used to this. However, it is worth persevering as they have a fantastically sharp blade, which cuts in half the time of a tenon saw.The angle of the handle is a bit odd at first, but, again, you get used to it very quickly. The kerf it leaves is super fine, so you don't have to allow extra for saw blade thickness, you just mark accurately and cut along the line. The downside, for me, is that the saw had actually cut right through my mitre box long before I got the hang of 'easing off' as you come to the end of the cut.I told you they were sharp!

Good saw, very sharp
Good saw, very sharp, and because it is a pull saw and tensions on the pull stroke it cuts very accurately. Only downside with this particular brand is that the blade is not quick release.

Very good.
Delivery to Poland took only 1 day. Brilliant. My first japanese saw. I've chosen rather "budget" version for training and getting used to pull action. Is very good. Almost effortless crosscutting. ripping takes a bit more (for tenons on small sections will do but for longer ripping you'll need ryoba). I spent half day slicing 50x50 pine (actually it was fun 😀)so I can see that I need to learn how to control the line better (flexibility if blade). very small kerf and if done correctly cross section needs no further smoothing. So 5*.great saw.

A great Japanese saw
This is a Japanese saw so it cuts on the pull stroke rather than the push stroke. This results in a far more controlled cut, and is a lot easier to get started. The blade is big, and it's very flexible - this allows you to bend the blade in order to flush-cut a tenon sticking out of a wide board. It's got a nice thin kerf too.If you're looking to do things like dovetails though, I'd recommend either a smaller version or one of the saws with a spine, as this has a tendency to wobble on small cuts. But if you need to cut decent sized notches or snip off through tenons, this is the puppy for you.

... was a bit skeptical but this truly is a great bit of kit
Having been brought up with traditional tenon and dovetail saws I was a bit skeptical but this truly is a great bit of kit, it does take a bit getting used to but once you start to develop a technique the precision is great! hard wood is a bit of a challenge but it teaches patients I am a full convert now should be in everyones tool rack.

A good saw but sticker pulls of all the protective film
These are good saws, but I have seen a few people complain about the very sticky sticker with the bar code which we all want to remove. I used some soapy water to remove mine, but see that they also put a very thin plastic film on the blade (presume to protect it) so that then gets ripped of too! so straight away I have a saw that is already blemished and not even used yet! Then need to sort there thinking our on this as it is rather annoying. The blade itself will be great as I have the ryoba one from the same maker and its a joy to use.

Ostras pedrin
