Faber-Castell 9000 Art Set, 12 x Pencils In a Stylish Tin

What a great price for Faber-Castell pencils. Good range of pencils. Bought as a gift but such the quality is as elected of the brand. The fact that it comes in a nice tin makes a great choice for gifting. (Have paired it with a Moonster journal.. Definitely a gift I’d like to receive.

As a new artist I was recommended these by a friend. They are perfect great quality, and although I’m a beginner, I know for a fact I won’t need to upgrade in the future. They are smooth to use, a great selection of shades, and I would genuinely recommend these, not just to beginners but to any level of artists.

I'm obssessed! The quality of the pencils and the tin is mesmerising. I can't stop thinking about it- I've never been this excited over pencils! My only concern was the tin itself coming with a couple of dents- this was probably just a shipping issue on Amazon's behalf though, as the other products I bought along with it appeared damaged also. I'd absolutely want to buy from this brand again though!

Beautiful pencils, such easy and soft blending which have elevated my drawings immensely! Not too expensive for the sheer quality they provide, and super functional with the tin casing.

I bought Lumpgraph mars pencils made by staedtler and I found them to be scratchy and sharpened horribly. I just received these today and they go on paper like butter. I’ve been using staedtler since I was 10 and the quality has gone down severely every decade. I finally made the switch and I’m so thrilled I did. I really want to try the matte graphite line too. That’ll be my next purchase. Honestly. If you’re looking for a decent pencil all around I recommend these.

These are the works I've done using the material. Best pencils for smooth realistic blending. 8B is the highest and it's not as dark as brands like cretacolor, but the precision & quality of material is good. Lead is of fine quality. And 2H, H and F are good in its outline phase. It's not a good choice for rough realism, where you get into deeper combination of highlights and shadows, but it's quite good for smooth realism and neat portrait drawings. Works really well with Hot pressed drawing paper of 200+ GSM and also the 130+ GSM drawing book sheets. Hexagonal shape is of fine grip and good for holding. And it's better to buy a pencil extender along with it. (The one shown in first picture). The packaging was good for the one I received (I've bought it twice), but the product is useless if someone drop it. So make sure the package you receive have enough bubble wrap or other essential packaging means. There are lots of pencil sets in the market, but this one has a good metal box and better quality.
