Makita DJV181Z 18V Li-Ion LXT Brushless Jigsaw - Batteries and Charger Not Included

Actually impressed, I have the Mafell jigsaw and it's a beast with perfect cuts, but bought this for quick simple cuts... Well I haven't used the Mafell since as this cuts just as well for my use. Great jigsaw, well done Makita.

Worth the extra cost. I’ve had numerous ‘cheaper’ units but this one is head and shoulders above the others Solid and steady when cutting and easy to manoeuvre even in thicker and denser materials

The Jigsaw provided powerful and controllable cutting easy to control giving good accurate cuts, found the on off buttons on the side difficult to use when using one handed, ie holding wood with other hand, it was difficult to turn off the power otherwise a good tool.

Once you get used to the barrel grip position its a really comfortable thing to use. On tight curves and corners you really notice how much better the barrel grip is. Only reason for for not giving 5 stars is the lock on/off button, can be tedious at times having to press lock off then the power button rather than just one button! But overall a really good price of kit!

This jigsaw is so smooth/powerful and accurate. Nice balance and the auto speed/torque control is very good. It's cuts perfectly square straight out the box. Dust extraction is excellent too, when hooked up to a extractor, although the noise is horrible due to the shape of the hole. This is my first barrel grip jigsaw but after only the 2nd or 3rd cut it feels very natural. I even prefer this jigsaw to the festool 18v jigsaw.

As a carpenter I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I have used many makes and models of jigsaw's and this barrel grip suits me perfect. I find it very similar to the festool jigsaw which is about 3x the price. (All though I won't knock the festool) The slow start to get the cut started and work light make easy work of any scribing/trimming, with very nice, easy control and precision. One happy chippy. Great value for money.

Have the first one and that was good but this beats it hands down. Gives a very good and straight cut and happy to recommend it, plus a friend at work is looking to get it too

Die Makita DJV181Z Akku-Pendelstichsäge wird mit sechs Sägeblättern (je 2x B-10/Holz, BR-13/Holz und B-22/Metall), einem Schutzschuh für empfindliche Oberflächen, einem 4-er Inbusschlüssel, einem Staubsaugeraufsatz und einer mehrsprachigen, bebilderten Bedienungsanleitung in einem Karton, gut und sicher verpackt, geliefert. Ein Akku oder ein Ladegerät sind nicht enthalten. Ich würde mich eher als handwerklichen Laien beschreiben. Lege aber dennoch Wert, auf hochwertige und gute Werkzeuge. Dies ist bei den Lxt Geräten von Makita eindeutig der Fall. Die Stichsäge ist gut verarbeitet und macht einen wertigen Eindruck, der sich dann auch bei der Arbeit mit der Maschine zeigt. Das Einlegen des Sägeblattes geht kinderleicht mit einer Druckverriegelung und ohne jegliches zusätzliches Werkzeug. Die Maschine ist zudem vor ungewolltem Einschalten geschützt. Der mitgelieferte Staubsaugeraufsatz ist allerdings nur für den Makita eigenen Staubsauger geeignet. Dafür gibt es aber zig Dateien im Netz, um sich mit dem 3D Drucker Adapter für den eigenen Staubsauger zu drucken. Was die Kompatibilität anbetrifft, so kann die Stichsäge mit Makita eigenen 18V Akkus betrieben werden, als auch mit kompatiblen Akkus von Fremdfirmen, wie man im letzten Teil des Videos sehen kann. Im Video sieht man weiterhin, dass man mit der Stichsäge leicht und einfach Kurven sauber schneiden kann. Durch die kabellose Variante ist man natürlich noch flexibler mit der Maschine. Das ist auch ein Vorteil, den man klar hervorheben sollte. Während des Betriebes kann man die Geschwindigkeit, die von 1-6 einstellbar ist, verändern. Auch Höhenunterschiede sind kein Problem für die Makita DJV181Z. Sie liegt gut in der Hand und ich habe keine Probleme, sie zu führen. Aber für kleinere Hände sehe ich da schon Schwierigkeiten, da wäre eine Bügelvariante besser geeignet. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Makita DJV181Z und kann eigentlich nichts Negatives zu der Stichsäge sagen. Man sollte lediglich, wenn man sich für diese „Griffvariante“ entscheidet, vorher mal schauen, ob man sie gut halten kann.
