Thorne Betaine HCL & Pepsin, 225 Capsules

I think this is the best I have used so far. As always it is more expensive than some others here but I have tried many and this is among the VERY best so far.

I have recently been diagnosed with IBS and have had a terrible six months with the most debilitating stomach problems. I didn't want to have to accept a lifetime of medication so did some reading up on my symptoms in search of a natural cure - and found people using this. One of my problems was undigested food and so I did a simple recommended stomach avid test with bicarbonate of soda (you can Google this) & found I did seem to have all the syptoms of low stomach acid so decided to dive right in and try this. I started with 1 tablet and worked my way up to 3 with each protein meal. I have a cupboard full of prescription drugs the GP gave me for IBS but I have so far not taken them. It is early days yet but this, couple with a high dose prebiotic and some dietary adjustments is beginning to relieve me of my symptoms. I'm not sure yet whether I'm on my maximum dose but I no longer have loose stools or urgency after eating trigger foods (not sure what these are yet!) I still have some rumblings and stomach ache, so I am not cured but feel sure I'm on the right track with this. I suspect this is on the way to being life changing, I just need some dose modification and more time.

Work great and nice to find a product that’s a capsule and not a tablet bound with magnesium stearate. Would be nice to have a bit more pepsin in there.

I've been using this brand of Betaine HCL and Pepsin since March, I only bought it because my usual brand Pure Encapsulations was out of stock and I can't live without it. What a stroke of luck that was, this brand has double the strength of ingredients for the same price and has made a significant difference to my gut health. I won't be changing back. I have Hashimotos and was recommended to use betiane HCL as I have low stomach acid. If I forget to take it I can't sleep and my IBS flares up. I take one with every meal which has protein.

I take them 30 minutes before each meal and it helps me to digest the food. I started taking them because I was diagnosed with hiatus hernia which meant I got acid reflex and sore feeling along from stomach up to mouth. I tried the test using bicarb of soda to determine whether I have too much or too little acid and it came out as not enough acid. I really recommend this product.

I ordered this in a heartbeat reading all the reviews I told myself “I’m finally going to cured! I’m finally going to eat the foods I enjoy again! I’m finally going to date again! Fall inlove again! Fall inlove with life again!” Well the only thing I feel into was nausea, indigestion, isonmina, depression and bloating. I believe I suffer with low acid and I take 1 pill with every meal, I do feel fine when I take it with a meal but when it comes night time I’m rolling around my bed in different positions trying my best not to throw up, Back to square one on a hunt to find my magic pill, I have faith you’re out there!

I’ve been using these injunction with nutri gall plus to help with my digestion’s and I’ve always had problems since I’ve had it removed since I rarely get any bloating whatsoever and everything has been running a lot more smoother
