Mini Wooden Store Small Outside Storage Unit with Shiplap Cladding

I was expecting this to be of a low quality so was pleasantly surprised to find it exceeded my expectations; it's decent quality and well designed.All the parts and fixings are included as is a helpful instruction/assembly leaflet. It took me a morning to erect the shed interrupted by perhaps 6 heavy showers so, I suppose, 2 - 3 hours is a good estimate. The leaflet is quite stern regarding the warranty saying the shed should be erected on pressure treated bearers (not supplied!) fixed to the base and must also be treated with a water repellent treatment within 3 months of erection otherwise the warranty is invalid. As yesterday was continuous heavy rain and after a quick trip to B&Q I did both, painting the individual parts in my garage and attaching the bearers.I saw in one or two reviews that two people are needed for some operations - I managed alone it wasn't that hard, it would have been easier with two but a help mate (my wife doesn't like cold rainy days) is not essential (Feeling a little bit smug now). There was a little minor damage, transit related I guess, but a firm tap with a lump hammer soon knocked the two misaligned parts back into their correct relationship.One slight moan - nails are used for many fixing operations, this felt a little 19th century so I substituted screws where possibleAll in all a positive experience so if this is the sort of thing you want then I recommend it to you.

I'm conflicted with this so the best I can be is factually honest. The product itself has been value engineered to excess. The components part have very poor tolerances. The finish is not great. The parts don't fit. Parts arrive damaged. But it is quite cheap compared to alternatives units at this really unusual size, there aren't many options with this footprint and this is the best priced one. However, have the above points clearly in mind when you decide to purchase this. We had to do a lot of DIY on the component pieces as they literally were not the right size to fit together. The felt for the roof arrived folded and had a large split all the way through it where it was sent creased for shipping. We ended up having buy more locally to fix this so the cost of assembly may not stop at the cost of the product. If you see this on a deal at a cheap price and you think you're quite handy then it might be worth getting, but if you need something that's easy to assemble and is well-built I would suggest this is not for you, because out of the packaging it's poor and in our case, damaged (the outer packaging was not damaged, it was a product of how the felt was supplied and stored). Once it's assembled it's a decent enough unit, and obviously ideal if you really needed this specific size.

Good little kit that takes up about as much space as two side by side wheelie bins which was exactly what I was after. Delivery was faster than expected, and I found it quite easy to assemble despite instructions stating it was a two-person job. I would say it’s slightly expensive for what it is but as I couldn’t spend the time to build a custom one for myself it was a good alternative. Roofing tacks are a touch short for the job in my opinion but the borders make up for it. Be aware that it’s not a precision build and some areas may not match up exactly flush but it’s solid and workable if you’ve got a few spare wood screws around. Without a drill I think it might be a struggle as you’ll have to drill your own pilot holes but as I had to adjust for uneven ground at the base this was fine for me.

This is a good quality storage unit and sits nicely by the kitchen door, holding watering can, buckets, gardening bits and pieces, etc. Delivery took longer than stated (they said they were busy trying to keep up with the orders). It took longer to assemble than expected and some of the pieces did not fit easily together (perhaps due to the company being so busy and struggling to keep up with the orders). The roof felt is poor quality and will need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the bolt has broken already and needs to be replaced. In my view, it would be better if the roof did not slope down towards the door as it just leads to the rain dripping onto the door. If it weren't for these few niggles, I would have given a score of 5 stars.

The shed is compact but since I wasn't looking for a very large storage shed, it's perfect. My husband put the shed together without any problems. After weeks of heavy rain here, I found to my surprise that the the items inside weren't soaked or water-logged. I must also add - I ordered the item with the understading that the item was to be delivered on a Friday, which meant that my husband was going to be home for the delivery. However, as the delivery date drew near, I noticed that the date had been changed to the following Tuesday, which meant that no one would be home. After phoning Amazon, they got in touch with the courier service, who changed their delivery date back to Friday and they delivered early so that my husband was able to sign for the item. If they had not changed the delivery date, I would have had to leave work early to be home in time for the delivery. Everything worked out well in the end - I am very happy with my little shed and I am very grateful for the excellent service received.

I really like this shed, but you must be aware of the amount of work you'll actually have to do to construct it. It is completely flat packed and there are a large number of screws, nails and parts to fit yourself. Also, if you intend to use this outside (who doesn't?) then you also need to provide timber yourself to set the shed off from the ground (item 1 on the instructions booklet). I'm no stranger to DIY and enjoy it, if you enjoy it too then you'll be fine with this shed. Ultimately I really love the look of it, and as long as you can figure out the sometimes slightly cryptic instructions expect to spend several hours putting it together. Worth while I'd say.
