Brilliant stuff, well worth the price.
This stuff is excellent, it's a good epoxy that hardens well (this is my second order) and doesn't smell too badly when in use. You mix the hardener with a 1:1 ratio so it's easy to do very small pours as well as large, and getting the correct ratio is obviously so very simple to get right. There's not the same amount of shrinkage you get with a cheaper polyester resin either (although they're good for what they are, as long as you accept the differences between them). Plus, it was delivered the day after I ordered it, which would be really helpful if I had a resin related emergency. Not that I'm likely to have a resin related emergency, but - y'know - your resin needs might be more urgent than mine...

Very Impressed, I shall Re-Order
Yes, it's expensive but this is an excellent product for "glazing" paintings and giving them a rich depth that enhances colours and structures. I recommend to watch some Youtube videos and pay attention to temperature, absence of moisture and using a heat gun to get the bubbles out, and to be aware that it takes quite some time to set. When it does, it is extremely glossy, extremely strong and gives a real WOW to the finished painting. I have tried a big range of other types of "crystal clear" liquid plastics products in the past, and this one was more user-friendly, behaved better, smelled less and the results were better, too. I would add that because of the possibility of sealing artworks with this substance, I am re-vising different media I had previously discarded/discounted because they don't wear well. I have confidence that using the MasterCast product all manner of possibilities can be made real. Good product indeed. Very impressed. I shall re-order.

Cures Crystal Clear
I have been on a bit of a journey trying out different resins over the last few months. I've been through 3 or 4 different brands for a variety of projects and each gave different results. This resin has given the best results so far. I recently restored a badly damaged old photo for a family member and decided as a gift to encase the restored photo in resin and then build a little stand for it to sit in at an angle. This involved pouring a total of 4 layers of resin into a home made mould -with the photo suspended in the middle. All 4 layers cured very nicely. It's important to remember to warm the resin 10-15 mins before you start, I just pop the bottles on top of the radiator while I'm getting ready (rad not burning hot obviously). Also you must be sure you are measuring out the resin in the correct proportions (be as accurate as you can) and then mix really well for a good long time. I usually set a 5 min timer with Alexa while I mix. You also need a torch or heat gun to remove any bubbles which form after you pour. If you use this product correctly you will get great results. I kept my project covered to stop any dust and hair in the air from landing on my work and I also came back 5 or 10 mins later after each pour to check that no new bubbles had formed and pop any that had. In the picture you can see the finished product.

Great resin epoxy
Oh yes !.... This is very easy to use just mix the same amount of each into a cup/container and give it a good stir, don't worry about any bubbles in it, then just tip it on/in whatever your doing. Once it has coved everything blow torch it about 30cm away and the bubbles will disappear like magic. May be a little bit expensive, but it's really great epoxy.

Great, but why the huge price jump?
Has been easy to use and a great amount for dice making. If used in a warm room or just pass it through a heater quickly, it's easy enough to get rid of bubbles (if you can't afford a pressure pot just yet) Was hoping to use this as my 'go to' resin for dice making but not long after ordering I notice the item went from £48 to £64 which is a huge jump. Which is the reason I took off a couple of stars on value for money.and one in general.

The best by far!
I've used this resin for quite a few projects and I am so impressed with the results. I find that it's quite thick and whilst mixing, the air bubbles are very slow to rise and can become trapped in a deep pour without the aid of a pressure chamber. Shallow work (<3mm) any bubbles can be removed easily with a heat gun. Everything I have used this resin for has come out crystal clear, and it mixes well with alcohol inks and mica powders. I've even used a few drops of airbrush paint to good effect. I did stray away from this resin to another brand, drawn by a cheaper price, HOWEVER the other brand cured cloudy on everything over 3mm depth. MasterCast is perfectly clear - see pics.
