How do you Mix the resin

Recommended mix ratio is 2% - IMPORTANT to weigh the resin and then add the hardener . Add 2ml of hardener for every 100g of resin. DONT GUESS as this often is the main cause of failure.

How long is the working time

At typical Room temperature of 18 Degrees C , Expect working time of 15 Minutes . This can rapidly reduce in hot conditions and for large volumes. Mix small manageable quantities and apply without delay. Avoid very hot conditions ( 25 deg C plus )

Why is the resin sold on WEIGHT not volume.

Resins can vary in density depending on type of resin and also ambient temperature- To keep accuracy , the resin is sold on weight which is an industry standard. This encore 30 resin has a S.G. of 1.1 meaning 1kg of resin is roughly 900ml volume

I can smell the resin through the packaging - Has it leaked.

The resin is a polyester variety, Polyester resins are very smelly and the smell will permeate packaging and containers. Try and store outside if possible. The smell will dissipate once its cured

What does " LLOYDS " approved mean- is it necessary?

The " Lloyds " approval comes from the Lloyds Insurers, this is a specific requirement for Marine craft repairs that require the use of approved products to maintain insurance cover with Lloyds.
