Are these fitted with gel pads

As standard the 3M Peltor Sporttacs are not offered from 3M Peltor with the Gel Earpad option, some retailers are offering the Sporttac with third party Gel Earpads, if you want the official 3M Peltor Gel Earpads you need to order HY80S which we have for sale in our Amazon Shop. Earshot Communications Ltd

Do the black ones come with an extra pair of red cups as well?

Yes our kits come with the extra Red Cups Earshot Communications Ltd

Do they reduce the sound of the shot electronically? Are they as effective in reducing sound without the battery.

No, the electronic system turns on the active listening microphones allowing you to hear while their is no noise without the need to remove the eardefender and missing someone making a loud noise. Without the batteries they work like standard eardefenders. Hope this assists you but feel free to reach out to us if you require further information or assistance with your purchase. Earshot Communications Ltd

Do these ear defenders come with a guarantee, and if so for how long??

Have read through my Peltor SportTac MT16H21OF booklet that came with the purchase from new but it does not mention a guarantee. It would undoubtedly have had a one year manufacturers warranty. After several years of use I have reported no faults or defects whatsoever. I haven't even replaced the batteries yet!
