This is my first review on Amazon as typically i am am happy with what i pay for. This rechargeable headlamp supposed to replace a bunch of other AA and AAA regular battery LED headlamps which i accumulated through the years. I used this headlamp to light up the area i am spray painting.A few observations:1. The strap system and fit is comfortable. It doesn't feel heavy or bulky.2. The description doesn't mention how bright the modes are but comparing to a true 400lm LED headlamp I own current product at max produces very similar result. The low setting is not usable at all in my application.3. Battery life is the biggest disappointment. I felt from description that 4800mAH is not true. Just logically its not possible to have such a capacity in a such a cheap and very lightweight battery. At max setting the battery last for less than 1 hour. I reproduced it twice fully charging the batteries overnight.---- Update ------I measured the battery drain at max setting ~700 [email protected] which for ~1 hour of run time makes both batteries capacity ~700maH (350mAH per battery?). Not even close to 4800mAH*2 product description says. Anyway ordered some good 18650 batteries for a price of an arm and a leg and will update on results.---- Update 4/14/2018-------With newer batteries and good charger the head light is awesome. Apparently original changer was undercharging and included batteries are crappy. As i mentioned above about "4800 mAh" being lightweight each measured 24 grams vs 3400mAh orbtronics are 48 grams each. With fully charged good batteries LED drains [email protected]. The battery+charger upgrade cost me about $50 but i believe its a good investment as 18650 batteries seem to be one of standard sizes now. Leave two start anyway as with no improvements product is bad.

So far this is my new 'favourite torch ever' candidate. The construction and materials are both of good quality; it's comfortable to wear; and it's very bright. I bought it in part because it runs on 2-18650 cells, which are workhorse cells with plenty of power. They're big, and heavy (at least in comparison to AA and AAA cells) but having the battery compartment at the back of the support strap means that the bulk of that balances out the weight of the LED fixture at the front. I like the addition of the strap going over the top of the head because it offers more support and it helps keep the torch well-anchored.For years, I've had small LED torches in every room in the house because I find that most of the time, when I need light, I need task lighting and I only need it for a brief time, such as writing down a phone number. This torch is ideal for me because it comes with me as I move around from room to room.I'll buy another one of these providing that I find this one proves durable. Nice find.

Unit itself is extremely nice has a long battery life and has an extremely bright and focusable beam but that's where the good stuff ends. These cells are not a known quality cell and the way that it charges is a direct connection to the charging device if using a high speed USB port or a provided charger which do not seem to cut off at all these batteries have gotten extremely hot and Toomey are a very big Hazard for being lithium ion batteries. Be extremely careful when charging this and actually I would recommend using an external charger for the batteries if at all possible something with a very good safety record.

Had several and this one is the best so far. Got 2, one for the Mrs. who spends a couple hours outside in a rural area feeding various animals. Great tool. I use often working in my garage. The light is bright and lasts. So much better than my portable, flash, and hanging lights. Comfortable too as well as lighter than my previous ones.

Not such a lightweight as most, so seems to hold on to head and direction well. Easy charge with usb. I used with taping wallboard and found it excellent at avoiding imperfections. Usually 600 watts of work light, but found this far easier because the light is nicely concentrated with no shadow spots. You can dial it in to "zoom" the spot, might be sending one of these to a wound doctor who said she needs this type. My only complaint as with all of these new lights is the multi function feature. I need off/on only which is hard to find. This one is 3 modes, so 3 clicks. So far well worth that small aggravation.

Love this thing. I have been declutterong which requires that i go into my attic via the pulldown steps. Although not large, the attic runs the length of my house and attempting to hold a flashlight in my mouth had become tedious. This light is perfect for this and working in my crawl space. It is bright, comfortable, and very easy to wear. Bravo!

I have bought many of these and similar items mostly for work and also for bike riding. The biggest problem other than basic durability is that they all discharge through the chargers when they are unplugged from the powere source, or power is otherwise interrupted. This will destroy the batteries if left in this state, and at best is a nuisance. You must also unplug the light from the charger to prevent this. A 1/10 of a cent diode would have fixed this problem at manufacture and can be added later. We have an off-grid cabin and must always remember to unplug from chargers when leaving and turning off the power. Same problem when a car charger is turned off at th ignition. Same problem when unplugging to relocate or store the lights anytime.

The light is very handy and easy to use. The adjustable beam make it easy to use for different jobs. The headband is comfotable. I am very pleased with the item.
