Is this a Silicone based lube?

It is NOT silicone based. If your concern is whether or not this will damage the rubber bushings and seals, it definitely will. It is for metal to metal applications only and will cause rubber bushings swell. Instead, use Permatex 80653 silicone extreme brake parts lubricant.

Is it used to grease the caliper bolts?

Yes clean off the bolt, grease it and slide it back into the rubber boot.

Will this work on ford rubber seals? just applied to my mustang and wondering if i should get something else?

Absolutely agree with R J's answer. Look at the specs and contents of the product. This product is not grease and has a high viscosity like gear oil. The touch and feel is similar to silicone, if you take a drop of it on your finger and rub it, the finger surfaces are absolutely dry just like a silicone test, which also tells you there is nothing oil-based component in it. Not sure at this time if it is any better than good old silicone that I've been using on my same trucks for last 20 years. BTW, I apply some of it on my new tools I buy and also for lubrication of O-rings since its safe for rubber and plastics. It is green in color and has no smell which I prefer.

Why should not I use copper base anti-seize lube and use this? Please advice. Thank you

Copper anti seize doesn't move that well and can actually cause the pins to jam due to the large copper particulates. Use some type of grease. I learned this the hard way

Great stuff

Hard to get a hold of. Some of the best stuff on the market. Great for brake caliper slide pins. Small tube will do quite a few brake jobs. Always put the cap back on in between uses on same job and keep out of floor because you will step on it and squeeze half the tube out. Its inevitable....
