Perfect For My Motorcycle Tyres
I've always found Draper tools to be an excellent balance between economy, quality and value and this tyre guage is no exception. The outer packaging even tells you the MOT minimum tread depth requirement. It's very simple to use, you hardly need the instructions and it worked fine on my bike tyres which have quite a chunky tread being the semi-off road type. It looks like this tool will last and unlike some tread checkers it will not need any batteries replacing. I think it would be hard to be disappointed with it!

It may save a fine, prevent an accident, but is difficult to read!
Good price. Fast delivery. Item as described. Simple to use, durable, easy to store but difficult to read the scale. By law, you must have a minimum of 1.6mm of tread in a continuous band across three-quarters of the tread width and around the whole circumference of your tyre; so this will help you to monitor wear and ideally, at 2mm inform you it's time to buy a new tyre.

Simple to use
Extremely simple to use and read depth of tread - seems well made and should last a long time. It simply fits into a pen holder in my arm rest.

No instructions
Pointless unless you know what your doing. Multitude go gauges on the side have no idea which one to use and if its accurate or not. Mine measured 1.6mm I think but the garage said 1.4mm so four new tyres very quickly!!

This gauge is an easy way to avoid fines for illegal tires which can be up to £2500 and 3 penelty points!
This is an easy to use and easy to read tire gauge, you just put the thin end into the tyre tread and push down until the green plastic part is against the wheel and take the reading from the top. The minimum legal tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm but it is usually recommended that the tire is changed before it reaches this depth due to safety reasons a lot of manufactures recommend 3mm. This gauge is an easy way to avoid fines for illegal tires and the fine can be up to £2500 and 3 penalty points on your licence. But it will also ensure the safety of you and your passengers because its always work checking the tyre depth before the winter road conditions set in!
