Now if like me, you can’t face the world in the morning until you’ve had a cup of coffee but don’t have the time to make a full pot and don’t particularly enjoy pod coffees, then you’re going to love this. This small but perfectly formed Bodum Chambord French press is just the thing for a quick and easy cup of ground coffee. The design and finish is very good as you would expect from a respected brand such as Bodum. The function is just as good, with a simple plunger and filter that is very effective as it does a great job at ensuring a smooth and tasty cup is poured, time and time again. It cleans well after use and it’s ready to go again! As you can see in my video, I used a very small cup and just about get 2 cups. If using a mug it’s enough for 1 good cup. In summary, it’s a nice little thing that produces great coffee for one. It’s not as cheap as others but it’s a quality item, from a quality brand.

This is a solid piece - considering RRP is £30 for 0.35 L being sold for £13. I don't understand some of the reviews here - Bodum is a quality brand, the glass is solid enough for its purpose, it is sturdy and well-built and looks very aesthetically pleasing. It also has a very sturdy grip handle which other coffee makers do not, such as ones made of steel or metal which make you feel like you're going to drop it or the weight cannot be taken. To clear up the size issue: 3 cup does not mean 3 full coffee cups like what you get here in the UK / US when you go to a coffee shop. 1 cup is equivalent to a small espresso or Turkish coffee cup size - so you would get 3 small cups with the 0.35 L coffee maker. Or alternatively, the 0.35 L size would give you 1 large cup (standard Starbucks / Costa size). I hope that helps. Finally it will look beautiful on a kitchen countertop or in a lounge and will blend in with any kitchen decor. The design and silver accents make it a pleasure to use. All in all, highly recommended by me, so do not hesitate to buy from Amazon at this price! 10/10 product with real value for money. Recipe: try Ethiopian Yergacheffe black coffee - add 2 scoops to coffee maker along with sugar and 2 pods of cardamom (crushed). Stir well and let brew for 4-5 minutes. Do not add milk as this is a black coffee. This is a pure caffeine hit in the morning or afternoon - once you taste this, you will never go back to normal coffee.

Exactly what I was looking for from the original Bodum. Really good quality but should have bought a larger for two mugs although this is enough for two cups or one mug.

A lovely little cafetière. Little is the main point that stops it getting a five star rating. It is described as 3 cup. I prefer a mug of coffee. This cafetière only just holds enough for one mug. Otherwise a very nicely made product as you would expect of Bodum. Makes a lovely coffee.

This is a stylish cafetière/French press. It states makes 3 cups it will probably make 2/3 small French coffee cups, but for British buyers it makes 1 standard mug of coffee, which is exactly what I wanted. If you want 2 mugs you will need a larger model. It is really well made and pours accurately.

Product seems fine, although not yet used. Turned up in a very battered box though so not suitable as the gift it was meant to be

looks beautiful, functions as intended, in a very manageable size for day-to-day use. And it is easy to wash and maintain. I like using it everyday.

La uso prácticamente todas las mañanas para preparar café para una persona. Quería algo simple, duradero y sin complicaciones. Lo que me ha gustado: Muy resistente: el cristal y la estructura metálica aguantan perfectamente el uso diario. El café sale realmente rico: buen cuerpo y aroma, ideal para preparar una taza rápida pero de calidad. La cuchara medidora es un plus: facilita mucho mantener siempre la misma proporción. Muy fácil de lavar: se desmonta en un momento y queda impecable con agua y jabón. Tamaño perfecto si tomas una o dos tazas pequeñas. A tener en cuenta: En un par de ocasiones (2–3 desde que la compré), al bajar el émbolo he notado más resistencia de lo normal y he tenido que aplicar algo de fuerza, lo que provocó una pequeña salpicadura. No ocurre siempre, pero diría que pasa cuando el café queda más fino o se compacta un poco más. Detalles que no aparecen en la ficha: El émbolo normalmente baja suave, el diseño es elegante y ocupa poquísimo espacio en la encimera. En resumen: Una cafetera práctica, bonita y con un sabor excelente para uso individual. Muy recomendable si quieres una prensa francesa resistente y fácil de mantener. El único detalle es revisar la molienda para evitar resistencia ocasional al presionar.

***** Da ich schon seit Jahren die Bewertungen von Amazon als Entscheidungshilfe verwende, möchte ich ab sofort einen kleinen Beitrag leisten und selbst die von mir gekauften Produkte bewerten. Falls dir meine Rezension gefallen oder weitergeholfen hat, würde ich mich über einen Klick auf "Ja" freuen :) ***** Für Ungeduldige zunächst die Bewertung: Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der French Press. Da das Kaffeepulver länger mit dem Wasser in Berührung ist, als es bei einem Vollautomaten der Fall ist, entsteht ein sehr kräftiger Kaffee mit intensiven Aromen. Die Kaffeemenge reicht genau für eine große Tasse, da von den 0,35 l noch die Pulvermenge abgezogen werden muss. Die Reinigung ist sehr einfach. Das Sieb kann leicht vom Deckel abgedreht und gereinigt werden. Der Behälter kann natürlich aus der Halterung entfernt und in die Spülmaschine gestellt werden. Ich gebe dafür insgesamt 5 Sterne. Die einfache Zubereitung und der gute Geschmack haben mich sehr überzeugt. Für diesen kleinen Preis kann man nichts falsch machen und es sollte mal ausprobiert werden. Was ich sonst noch loswerden möchte: Ich bin kein großer Kaffeetrinker. Zu Hause trinke ich, wenn überhaupt, 1 Tasse pro Tag. Da mein Kaffeevollautomat defekt ist musste etwas Neues her. Im World Wide Web bin ich dann auf das Thema French Press gestoßen. Erster Pluspunkt war natürlich der Preis. Wofür einen Vollautomaten für 400 € bei 1 Tasse / Tag kaufen, wenn es auch günstiger geht. Aber taugt das was? Jeder in meinem Bekannten besitzt einen Vollautomaten, also konnte ich da keinen Rat suchen. Das Internet betitelt die French Press als „Kaffee für Genießer“. Nun gut. Der erste Gedanke „Kaffeepulver rein und los geht‘s“ hat sich schnell zerschlagen. Bitte Bohnenkaffe nutzen und diesen immer frisch grob mahlen. Man kauft sich ja keinen Oldtimer um damit morgens eine Runde um den Häuserblock zu fahren. Also gehört auch eine Kaffeemühle dazu. Das treibt den Preis ein wenig, aber ok, immer noch günstiger als ein Vollautomat. Die Kaffeemühle sollte dann den Kaffee auch etwas gröber mahlen, als es bei Pulver der Fall ist. Feiner Kaffee gibt schnell Bitterstoffe ab. Somit habe ich mich für eine French Press entschieden. Da ich nur eine Tasse am Tag trinke, reicht mir auch die kleinste Ausführung mit 0,35 l. Die Zubereitung ist einfach: - ca. 25g groben frisch gemahlenen Kaffee in den Behälter füllen - Behälter bis oben mit Wasser aus dem Wasserkocher füllen und umrühren - Deckel drauf und Sieb ein wenig nach unten drücken, damit kein Kaffee oberhalb der Wasseroberfläche bleibt - Nach 4min Ziehzeit den Kaffee genießen Tipps: - Behälter vorher mit warmen Wasser anwärmen, damit der Kaffee nicht so schnell kalt wird - Behälter zunächst bis zur Hälfte mit Wasser füllen und umrühren. Im vollen Behälter ist dies etwas schwieriger, da sonst etwas überschwappen könnte - Wer eine größere Größe wählt, sollte den fertigen Kaffee in jedem Fall umfüllen, da dieser ansonsten noch weiterzieht und Bitterstoffe entstehen.
