Macbeth York Notes GCSE English Literature Study Guide - for 2026, 2027 exams

Any study guide that enabled my son to get an excellent grade in his English lit. GCSE has my full and unstinted support. Pairing it with a few watches of Polanski’s obdurately nihilistic adaptation of a world full of sound and fury, signifying nothing, is recommended.

Excellent revision material for GCSE.

I ordered a second hand copy of this revision guide, it came very quickly (it was dispatched on the same day I placed the order) and was in excellent condition. The revision guide itself has a clear and colourful layout that makes remembering quotes and understanding the play so much easier! It makes an excellent companion to the play, providing background information and a breakdown of each scene. I would recommend this book for anybody studying GCSE Macbeth with the new 9-1 course.
