Aqua Optima 6 Month Pack - Oria Water filter jug with 3 x 60 day water filter cartridges

I have been using this jug for approximately 2 years and I have been happy with the product. Unfortunately aqua Optima evolve+ cartridges do not fit the jug so has rendered it useless. There is nothing wrong with my jug but I have to throw it in the bin as it can no longer be used.

Excellent water jug. I'm not personally a big fan of drinking filtered water as I think tap is perfectly fine, but I've been converted. Filtered and mineral water normally has a funny taste. This does change the taste of the water, but less so than typical filters, so this is a plus for me. The instructions to prepare the filters before using are straightforward but do take some time with no clarity as to why the steps are required. E.g. you need to soak the filter in water for 15 mins before using to remove air bubbles, but you do question why as most air bubbles are removed after 1-2. Additionally the filter floats so not easy to keep under-water without weighing down.The filters supposedly last 2 months, but unless you mark on the calendar, it's pretty easy to forget when to change these.Looks wise, very nice and good quality thick plastic and good grippy feet. Pouring is the only annoyance if you overfill (e.g. have water remaining in the filter section) as this pours out prior to the filtered water causing the unit to leak at the spout and of course defeat the point of only drinking filtered water. So avoid over-filling and you'll be fine. But filling to this amount this only gives you about 4 full glasses of water.

i liked the jug the moment i opened it up, it is perfect in my fridge door ready for cold diluted drinks, and makes crystal clear ice blocks, for later drinks, once the filter has cleaned the water, you get a drink of water that instantly tastes and looks clear in the glass,but best of all a much better enjoyable better tasting cup of tea. Jacqueline PS this jug has not worked for weeks, i contacted the seller to replace the jug as it the filter is stuck fast and wont come out to be replaced and the lid will not fit (i tried and tried) without success, and of course it is not fit for purpose and i am sorry to say the seller has not replaced it. Our old Brita jug had seen better days and the replacement cartridges were really expensive and only lasted for 30 days.This Aqua jug is very stylish and is well made and is supplied with three 60 days filter cartridges. The jug holds just under 3 litres of water. The lid slides open to allow filling of the jug, a very clever design feature.Another cool feature you can download a free Apple / Android mobile app. This allows you to get a notification when your filter needs changing.In conclusion a good product and a definite alternative to the more expensive Brita range. I would certainly recommend you consider this product.

It arrived quickly and t works well.Sadly, it does not fit in the fridge shelf but would fit in an American sized fridge.The capacity is a bit small. As I only want filtered water, that makes up I'm guessing 40% of the capacity that is advertised. The top part is not filtered so have to leave it empty otherwise that water comes out when pouring. There is a bit that is supposed to stop the unfiltered water from coming out but it is not well sealed so leaks out when pouring.When you are pouring the water out, it comes out very quickly so have to be gentle when pouring it out. I've spilled water many times as I am still getting used to it.Great price.

I bought this to replace my extremely old Brita, because the price including three 2 month cartridges was roughly equivalent to buying six one month cartridges for that jug. I've been using it for about two weeks and it seems to be working well. I never drink water straight from a filter as I prefer the taste of tap water, but I have to use filtered in my kettle otherwise it has a metallic taint to it. This filter jug results in good tasting tea so it must be doing it's job. It's also really easy to fill, pours better than my old jug (it WAS very old and a bit leaky) and looks smart. Very happy with my purchase.

I was keen to test out out my new Tassimo machine with the Kenco Americano Grande coffee pods. The results were a disastrous bitter tasting drink that left a lot to be desired and I was really disappointed. It was about to be returned. But a friend said that living in a very hard water area doesn't do coffee flavour any good especially with the added chlorine. So I thought I'd try a water softener and found this one to be relatively cheap on Amazon. What a difference! Smooth tasting coffee came out of my Tassimo machine that really tasted like a proper fresh brew of coffee. And even my cold drinks have so much more flavour. The Tassimo machine? That's staying with me!

This is the second of these jugs we have bought and the nice thing about this one is it uses the same filters as the old one. Unfortunately they have "improved" the design, change for the sake of change. They have improved the little indicator that told you when to change the cartridge by removing it - much better. They have improved it's shape so it is now slightly wider so it no longer fits UK fridges. They have improved the spout so it pours everywhere. They have improved the filling system so instead of it being clever and automatically opening when water hits it, its now a manual slidey thing and the water has to pass through slats, be very careful or water everywhere, again. So considering its such a simple device they have really tried hard to screw it up. The jug still works and works reasonably well but the new design is so inferior to the old design its almost as though it was made badly on purpose. I can't believe anyone in their quality control actually thought this was an improvement!
