Is this the same fitting 1/4 inch unit as the John Guest 1/4" to 1/4" Push Fit Shut Off Valve

I bought this in December 2013 and it is a push fit "you cut your pipe then push the pipe in to each end then you can control the flow" and its still working well. I hope this helps C.R.R

Does this fit the pipe on a samsung fridge freezer

I would find out the size of the inline filter tube if that’s what you are fitting it up to or replacing I’ve used it to to connect an inline filter for a filtered water tap i but my filter is also a replacement for many fridge freezer’s but a grey area are they all standard size, you can always consider size converter

I can attach before filter so I don’t have to turnoff stopcock.? Is there a clip I can get to fix it to the back of the cupboard?

Yes that’s how I installed mine. I’m sure you can find a clip to attach it to the cupboard. Mine is just installed before the filter so I can flush out the loose carbon.

Guarantee against leaking past the spindle/lever?

As with any water tap, fitted correctly , it should not leak. Mine is fine.
