Viridian Myo-Inositol & Folic Acid Powder 120g

I will write the whole story as I personally found the most helpful reviews while waiting for this product to work / not work were the detailed ones. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 18 years ago, my cycles were usually non-existent or in some periods of my life very irregular (6months+). I was on the pill for 10 years, until I wanted to start a family. I got pregnant in 2016 after a couple of months on Metformin (1500mg/day) - pure luck! I've been TTC baby number 2 since December, I am again on Metformin 1500mg daily ever since. After a few 32-33days cycles with Metformin earlier this year, I had a random long one (42 days) and then no sign of ovulation for days and days. My doctor suggested I try inositol before we increase the dose of Metformin. Started taking it on CD 37, got my period 10 days later (anovulatory cycle according to my doctor). In the new cycle, I ovulated on day 30! Still a long one but better than last time I guess! I believe it's due to inositol and I hope it will regulate my cycles even more. I have seen a great improvement with my acne too - my spots are gone and my face skin is absolutely smooth - haven't seen it like this since I was on the pill! Only drawback with this product is the small spoon, as other reviewers mention. Taste is fine! I will update as going along, but it is definitely recommended and is worth a try if you are struggling with PCOS! UPDATE - Second cycle was even shorter, I ovulated on CD22 and just got my BFP, after almost 10 months of trying! Please consider trying this product if you are a PCOS sufferer, the results are very promising. I wish I knew about this vitamin much earlier, but I guess it's never too late! :)

I owe everything to this supplement! I’ve had PCOS for almost 20 years and I thought I would really struggle to fall pregnant naturally. After some research into myo inositol, I decided on this supplement and fell pregnant in the first month of trying! Roll on 5 years later, I thought it would be a struggle to fall again (especially as I’m edging closer to 40) so I started taking this supplement again and low behold, within 2 months of trying I’m pregnant again. I know this is all down to taking this supplement as I tried another brand for over a year with no success whatsoever. I’m so glad I went back to taking this one! I also find my cycles are around 32 days in taking this, whereas before they would range from 35-40 days. I will continue taking this supplement to manage my PCOS generally. I agree with other reviews that the little spoon is annoying but you get used to it! When nearing the end of the bottle, I find it easier to just empty it into a small Tupperware box - much easier for scooping out.

Good quality, helped with my irregular periods and pregnancy.

I previously tried this supplement from another company in tablet form, which was really difficult to take as they were huge. It did help regulate my cycles and initiate my periods. I find this form much easier to take, it dissolves quickly in any drink with no taste. It has helped restart menstrual cycle again. I also have loads of energy and sustained focus, I feel much more productive at work. I think my mood is slightly improved too. However! (And this is probably just me). Side effects that I noticed slightly with tablets are now much more apparent (I expect because I’m taking the recommended dose now). In contrast to what other reviewers seem to find, this makes my skin very greasy and breakout all over my chin and around mouth- ‘hormonal’ acne. I am also ravenously hungry all the time. I can’t understand why it has this effect for me but the opposite for others. I am sticking with it for now because I need help to conceive 🙄

It’s very rare that I write reviews but I’ve made an exception for this. I’ve suffered with PCOS for years and nothing has helped regulate my periods like this. My cycle used to be pretty non existent - I would have 2 periods a year if I was lucky. Within 2 weeks of taking this as instructed, I had a period and gradually my cycle has come down to a more normal (for me) 30 days. If you have PCOS please give this product a try. My skin is much better and even though I still have the odd chin hair, it’s not as bad or as thick as it used to be. The only down side (if you can call it that) is the size of the scoop. When you open the jar give it a little shake and the scoop will make its way to the top. I don’t know about others, but my scoops have always been blue and I’m on my fourth bottle of this.

Whenever I look for any kind of supplement I always check Viridian first as they are the only ones who don't contain extra nasties or hidden things. I feel I can buy from them with a clear conscience as I love their ethics. However, I do agree with other comments about the spoon situation. You can find the little measuring spoon eventually if you keep giving it a good shake but the spoon handle is short so it is difficult to get to the bottom etc. I bought two bottles though so once it gets low I pour the rest in to the top of the new bottle. One pot lasts a month and it is so much cheaper than others I have tried like inofolic and it dissolves a lot faster than that too. All round great product by a great natural company but spoon design might cause peoples review rating to be lower which is a shame.

I was looking at buying the branded version of inofolic which is the same ingredients but double the cost. Thank goodness I saw this first. It has lasted me nearly 2 months and still some left (that is 4 scoops a day at 2 intervals) it doesn't really taste of anything, if you give it a good swish in the water it gradually disappears. My only gripe would be that as it gets to the bottom it's hard to reach the powder with the scoop. I will be buying another bottle soon. Thanks
