WMF Barista 636646040 Honey/Syrup Dispenser, Silver

I wanted a honey dispenser which didn't leave a sticky mess after each use.. I got it! Expensive though. Also honey is very viscous so it takes a while to pour, but it comes out nice and thin, perfect for cheese or yoghurt.

We use it for Honey that we brought back from Greece. It works perfectly, even with the Honey being fairly cold and sticky, the mechanism shuts off the honey-stream with no drips. No more sticky jars or spoons, I just drizzle the honey straight onto my toast or yoghurt.

Looks nice but just does not work. The rubber seal is impossible to fit with the lid on and despite many tries the honey leaks down the side of the pot making a mess. My advice is not to waste your money.

Good quality stuff to go with your daily honey dose........

Its a bit more expensive but it looks classy and it doesnt drip at all, brilliant..

I was looking for something to replace the squeeze pots, as the honey in this kept crystallising, but not in the jar, that the honey was decanted from. We had in Spain one with a lever, that retracted a thin blade that was in a groove, when retracted this would expose the hole for the honey to be poured out of. As you released the lever, the blade would slide along the channel and cut off the flow. Well I read some of the reviews and noted the lady saying about it leaking down the outside of the pot and thought here we go again, someone slagging when they don't know how to use. But I'm afraid she was right, there will be a technique to minimise drips down the outside, but for a WMF product of which I have a good few and very pleased with, this product is not as good as it looks, with its Japanese Temple Pagoda lever on the top. It does not close off the spout, which is not a straight shape for the lever to sit on. It could do with a small hinged flap to close against the spout, which would need to be flat around the top. I feel that WMF needs to revisit the design and could do better. One last thing, it was ordered on a Sunday and was with me Monday. I could not believe it

Great quality product - I’m using it for maple syrup (lower viscosity than honey) and the pourer needs a little wipe after use. My opinion is that we’re it honey it would probably ‘cut’ the flow off better.

No more messy sticky honey jars and lids. No more over-pouring. I love this product and wish I had started using it sooner. Highly recommended!

The dispenser cuts the flow off and there is no following drip dribbling down the side! It holds more than the typical dispensers I have used in the past...perhaps only 2 or 3 ounces, but it is also an advantage. Another thing I love about this is the wide mouth that greatly facilitates filling it. It even comes with a spare gasket where the top joins the glass bottom. The glass jar itself is not flimsy and creates a feeling of confidence for durability. I also think this dispenser would work wonderfully for pancake syrup!

Decent quality but still messy. Chromed parts feel a bit cheap but better then plastic. Not totally drip free so still some mess.
