L'Oréal Colorista Effect Ombre Hair, Brunette

It was my first time using this product and this type of product so I was really coming at it with no experience. I wanted to lighten around my face and also create a blonde ombré to the ends of my hair so that I can wear blonde hair extensions. The brush that comes with it is a soft rubber which works really well at grabbing your hair to pull through the dye. The dye is thick and almost a creamy texture so no dripping etc and it really does just go where you want it. The results! - I feel like it worked better on one side of my head than the other. I can see a slight line but it’s not mad obvious and you can only really see it when my hair is brushed straight which it never is in real life it’s normally behind my ear! I was really impressed with the technique as it was really really easy, I was impressed that you can actually see it change colour so can adjust your time accordingly and I was impressed with the blonde colour. I thought I’d definitely have to tone it after and there was no need. I’ve included a photo of me wearing my blonde hair extensions which blend into the ombré really well. So overall I’m really pleased with the results and I’d not hesitate to purchase again. I feel like if I was to do it again I’d be a bit more confident next time. I paid around £5 for this which also makes it a total bargain.

Such a brilliant product! Made my dark brown/black hair go slightly orangey it's safe to say I love the end result. It looks super!!! But just a heads up make sure to really rub the product in with your hands after applying with the brush (with the gloves on of course) but yeah really happy!

Worked well as a first step to ombre my hair but definitely needed another bleach and toning. My hair was a gingery brown colour before. Didn't really find the hair comb tool that useful. I would recommend bleaching your hair first unless it's very light/mousy brown and then using this kit followed by a purple toner and then silver shampoo/conditioner for the upkeep.

This product was so easy to use at home. It’s the first time I’ve done anything like this so I was happy that everything I needed was provided and the instructions were easy to follow. It didn’t take long at all and it wasn’t messy to use. I have dark blonde hair so I left the product on for the minimum time and it worked really well. I’ve had lots of compliments! Saved me about £120 and 3 hours in a salon!

Basic instruction didn't really help work out how to do it so it wasn't just a straight line around my head. Kind of looks like it's just an old grown out dye, it's obviously orangy too as expected lifting from dark. Just looks poor quality could have done with more detailed instruction on how to get the distribution sorted. Also one side has lighter patches as well.

I was dubious about trying to go lighter at home but being lockdown 3.0 and impossible to get to a salon I thought I would see if any diy lighteners caught my eye. I wanted a highligh/ambre look but didnt see it possible to even attempt at home! I found this and wow how wrong I was! What a find! So impressed with the results and how easy it was, recommended nded to two friends already asking me where I got my hair done! And they are both so happy with the results! Thankyou! Highly recommend!

Only needed to use half of it, as I was just lightening the bottom 3-4 inches of the hair underneath. So only mixed up half of the powder n liquid. My hair is dark brown n I applied it for 45 minutes then washed it out, I was at orange stage so applied for a 2nd time for 45 minutes (and I had enough mixture left to do this) n I was a dark blonde colour when it was wet, I put pink n purple on afterwards n it took really well, it was very vibrant n my hair wasnt damaged, surprisingly. And I still have half of the powder n liquid left for the next time

Gotta say I don’t normally like to buy hair dye off the internet as it can be untrustworthy through sellers but I am in love with this Ombré hair dye it has come up on my hair perfectly and would 100% buy this again in 6 months time to keep on track of my hair dye with my new hair colour
