Smashed lids but great paint
Great spray paint and I have ordered this several times now. Only problem was the last delivery where it looks like the package was used a the ball during a very heated local derby football match. Both lods smashed and I could not use them making transporting these a bit dodgy. Apart from that great paint

plasti kote for the vintage lass
wanted to refinish a vintage sewing machine that had ingrained grubby paint no matter what used couldn't clean it, sanded down to bare metal and blocked all holes did not apply primer the instructions mention able to paint metal.3rd picture started rattling the tin and kept adding thin layers, until could not see the metal through paint with a battery torch, rattling at regular intervals approx 1min the paint was really shiny and dried fairly quickly, the instructions do say recoat any time. despite all curves and angles didn't get a paint run, the sewing machine looked really good.see 1st picture. added some specially bought decals from florida was pleased with the result decals need sealing specially with fabric and pins / pegs travelling across the bed. bought Plasti Kote super clear gloss (same design on tin), to seal decals and add to the amazing gloss shine. rattled the tin and sprayed in thin coats, just the same method as with the black super gloss but for some reason the paint has rippled and the shine has dulled, and bubbled the paint. the end result looked promising until the clear coat caused ripples. the black super gloss paint used on its own would of got a 5 star rating hence why shown the before clear coat picture 1st so can judge yourself. but the rippling caused from the clear coat that is by the same manufacturer for me lowers this rating debating how to repair this situation.. edit: decided to sand the ripples with wet and dry sand paper and touch in, by spraying the paint into lid and using a small brush. wet sanded around the decals picture 2, luckily had applied enough black thin coats of paint to do this. sprayed with the super clear plasti kote, in thin coats. the first picture shows black plasti kote paint before super clear coat 2nd picture shows sanded paint after resolving rippled areas before clear coat 3rd picture shows the metal finish the plasti kote black paint was applied to at the start of the painting project.

Good coverage, use lightly and in multiple coats
Bought to touch up some kerbing on alloy wheels before part-exing a vehicle. Obviously the wheels were previously black coated so this was only to cover some edge scuffs and where the brake dust had collected and hardened in the crevices. Cleaned and dried the wheels, taped off the tyre and began to spray - it was a warm sunny day (yes rare in GB I know) so the paint dried fairly quickly. I went a little heavy on one side and it began to run/drip and cause air bubbles on some patches. A lighter spray albeit then with multiple coats gave a better finish. This blended well with the existing black finish on the wheels. Can't comment on the durability, this was purely cosmetic on my part. Cant see there being an issue, it adhered to the metal and other paint well.. clearly any more kerbing of the wheels its going to come off but can't blame the paint for that. I'll add - it wasn't MY car or me that kerbed the alloys, it was the wife's! :D

Amazing, Easy and Value for Money
I had used this before on metal, but this time I had some Taupe plastic planters that I wanted to paint black. Being super shine the finish is impressive. It is easy to use and goes a long way. I am now changing the appearance of a few garden items - going from sad looking to 'wow' and a cheap price. Even my gardener couldn't get over the change in appearance of some of my ceramic pots and plastic planters.

Excellent paint
Dries (touch dry) in about 1-2 hours (depending on surrounding temperatures). Gives a nice drip/run free coat as long as you only lightly spray first coat. You may see previous paint show through your first coat (depending on original colour), but don't worry, as a second coat will most certainly cover any underlying previous paint job. I waited 24 hours before spraying my second coat. Really pleased with the finished product 32 steel support posts for my Wi-Fi / studio unit. I did use three cans of black gloss, but my supports look 'almost' as good as they did when new (they were originally spray painted and baked in factory ovens).

Don’t believe the coverage figure
I bought this paint to paint the underside of the glass on my cube, as part of its restoration. The top PVC Rattan had become brittle and had started to snap. I decided to remove it and paint the glass. The coverage in the blurb states 2.5 m sq. my glass is 1.2m x 1.2m making 1.44 m sq. The first picture shows how much I covered using the whole can. The second picture shows the finished job after 3 cans, as two wasn’t enough and I’m not 100% convinced about it’s opacity, either. Pictures 3 & 4 show the glass in position. I made sure I shook the cans for at least 3 minutes and that I was using the paint within its operating temperature and distance ranges. The paint came out evenly, with a good flow and only started to splutter when the paint ran out. I wasn’t paying attention to that, so I missed it. It’s of no matter to me anyway, as nobody will see the underside of the glass. If I have another job like this, I would probably try another brand. Maybe it just doesn’t like glass even though it’s listed on the suitable materials list.
