Useful trays for sprouting seeds
Very good for sprouting seeds, though tiny seeds like broccoli and alfalfa tend to get stuck in the drainage holes before they are sprouted. Blocked holes can be unblocked using a pin, so a bit fiddly to begin with. And it's tempting to put to many seeds in a tray and they end up a big solid mass. Less is more. I usually grow them until they have both green leaves, before rinsing many times and trying to remove all the hulls.

although the product works fine and i do like it and use it
although the product works fine and i do like it and use it, it is quite small(as diameter-it could be an advantage though if you have a small place for it) but the reason why i gave it only 3 stars is that i had to pay extra taxes(11£!!) for the custom and that was a nasty surprise since i already payed this product about 26£!! i don't think the total price payed for it is fair, i could have bought about 5/6 individual jars from Biosnacky for the same price or at least it should have been written somewhere about the extra fee to pay to avoid misunderstanding about the real cost of this item!

Easy
Has made a huge difference to my diet. Easy to use, easy to clean

Don’t waste your money … ineffective
Ineffective…. Better results with glass jars made myself… think holes and set up not conductive to sprouting. Don’t buy it.

Brilliant sprouter!
I did a lot of research before purchasing this particular sprouter and, yes, I did find negative reviews about it but I also came across glowing reviews. I've previously grown sprouts in a jar but wanted something that would allow me to grow several different varieties at once and that didn't take up too much room as my kitchen is quite small. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. It is so easy to use and I haven't had any crop failures yet, just bountiful supplies. Just remember to rotate the trays top to bottom each time you water. Happy sprouting!

Awesome sprouting action with this product
This has really worked well for me. I've gone through about 3 rounds of sprouting and have had success each time. All 3 times I sprouted mung beans (just regular dried mung beans bought at the grocery store). I haven't tried the alfalfa seeds that came with the package yet. Before this I was using the glass jar method. I had a mason jar with a lid that I'd drilled holes in for drainage, put the seeds in, added a little water, then kept it on its side. Twice every day I'd drain it, rinse and add a bit of fresh water. The process was a pain in the ass and the size of the jar really constrains your growth. This product was obviously designed by people who take their sprouting seriously. The trays have tiny little holes in them that allow for slow gradual drainage. The bottom most tray has no holes and collects the water from the upper tray or trays. The capacity of the bottom tray is 2 and a half cups. What I do is add a cup of water in the morning, then a cup in the evening. No other actual work. Then the next morning before the first cups water feeding it's time to empty the collector tray and start the process over. Simple no fuss no mess method. Sprouting doesn't require light at first, but when things get rolling they quite enjoy the light I find! I had these things getting quite huge on my kitchen table with indirect sunlight after 10 days. I was struggling with ways to consume the things actually to be honest. I used a tablespoon of seeds in one tray at first and this was way too much. I'm down to a couple teaspoons at this point. This is a five star product as far as I'm concerned! As a matter of fact I was impressed enough to buy another one for a friend's birthday.Keep in mind I only used one tray not the maximum 3 trays available. In this way they were able to grow quite tall. More trays and ofcoarse the bottom trays would still grow, but they would be impeded at some point by the upper tray or trays. They would still grow, but not into the tiny monsters that I managed to get going.

What Have I Been Waiting For???
Although I've been a "heavy" Amazon user for about 10 years (and 99.9% thrilled through all these years), I've never given a review before. It's just not something that I do. But I can't let this one slip by. This is probably the best money I've ever spent, and I'm happier with this purchase than with anything I've ever bought before. While I'm an avid outdoor gardener, I don't do such a great job with indoor plants -- we have about zero in the lighting department. Therefore, the only houseplants that survive are ZZs (Zamioculcas zamiifolia), which thrive in low-light conditions. It has always broken my heart that I couldn't grow salad greens indoors (we're in CT and you can't even plant until June 1st due to cold weather -- then it's too hot for lettuce and spinach!).Then along came my answer: The Victorio Tray Kitchen Seed Sprouter!!! I read the reviews (thanks for providing such a valuable service, Amazon!) and determined that there would be no lighting issues with such a method. I watched videos on YouTube. I concluded that if you can believe all the reviews and what you watch on YouTube, this little sprouter had to be idiot-proof -- and it is!!! Success-success-success on the very first try, and every single time thereafter! You gotta love winning!I followed the destructions carefully and threw in a few YouTube tips that I picked up. Always, always, always wash trays with soap and warm water as soon as you empty them to prevent illness in future crops -- and residue buildup on the plastic. I keep a large safety pin in the top kitchen drawer to quickly poke tiny seeds out of the drainage holes on occasion. Always move the bottom tray to the top position each time you rinse/water (twice daily).I don't use as much seed material in the trays as the directions tell you to use. They call for 2 Tablespoons, but I think that crowds the sprouts too much. Plants are more likely to mildew if they're over-crowded. I use 1 Tablespoon in each tray, and I start a new tray every day or two. While the spouse and I are true salad lovers, this seems to provide just the right amount of yummy sprouts of all kinds to serve as major components in our salads. We ordered a pound of Todd's Seeds Broccoli and Friends Mix (broccoli, alfalfa, red clover, radish) at the same time. Fabulous stuff!!! The radish gives it just the right nippy little zip -- refreshing! We're ready to order more alfalfa as the little packet that came with the sprouter is gone now. We like keeping 2 trays each of the plain alfalfa and the broccoli mix going at the same time. I'm currently experimenting with seed packets of radishes, beets and onions from Walmart. If we like the results, I'll order them by the pound from Amazon.Unless you harvest them at 2 inches tall or less, I wouldn't use this contraption for bean or sunflower seeds -- but only because I happen to prefer them 3 to 4 inches tall, and standing upright. Lots of folks like them smaller than that, and this sprouter would be fine for them.I can't rave enough about this product. Amazing in its simplicity, it just plain works -- and very, very well. I have been recommending it to anybody who will listen to me, and will continue to do so. Thanks, Victorio for such an outstanding product, and thanks to Amazon for making it available for dirt cheap -- and 2-day Prime shipping is to die for!!!Don't hesitate, don't think twice -- buy this little gem. You won't regret it for a minute.

à éviter
Ne fonctionne pas avec les petites graines comme les brocolis. Les trous se bouchent et l'eau reste stagnante. Donc ratage assuré et perte de temps.problème de drainage évoqué à nombreuses reprises sur amazon.com
