Is this shampoo vegan? i.e. animal cruelty free, doesn't have animal products?

Hi After seeing your question I emailed the company about Animal testing and receaved this reply. Statement on animal testing Dear Sir/Madam, Tests on animals have and never will be performed by Dr. Kurt Wolff GmbH & Co. KG! According to the European legislation1 for cosmetics and cosmetic raw materials, tests on animals are prohibited. Even prior to this ban, we did not perform tests on animals when developing our products. We test our products on volunteers in clinical tests and in dermatological institutes. Furthermore, we comply with the statutory requirements of the cosmetics ordinance on the prohibition of animal testing when selecting new raw materials. A blanket statement as regards non-animal-tested ingredients cannot be made since numerous proven raw materials which have been in use now for several decades were tested on animals in the past, not least since these raw ingredients are also used in other products such as pharmaceuticals.
