Very functional
This is a great smart watch, I've had it for several months now so I feel it's time for a review. It's running Wear OS 1.6 which is pretty much the latest (Google have just released 2.1 which will take a while to filter down, but this watch should receive it).The heart rate monitor seems accurate enough to me. There's a Huawei Health app built-in to the watch that if paired on your phone provides some good information. I personally use Google Fit, but there's no doubt that the sleep monitoring part is brilliant. It will monitor your sleep routines automatically, and does not need a constant connection to the phone; this means that you can put the watch on airplane mode and cinema mode at night to conserve batteries, and when it next syncs you'll see your information. The build quality is quite good. I've taken a shower with it a number of times, the speaker sounds pretty bad for a few hours afterwards if it gets wet.The battery life is around 2 days, but it doesn't take long to charge - somewhere between 30 - 60 minutes will charge from flat to full.Using the watch to make phone calls is actually very good, although I've had to disable it as there's a problem when receiving a call if I answer on my phone, nobody can hear me. I'm unsure if it's a problem with the watch, or a compatibility issue with my Sony XZ.The screen is clear and responsive, although better quality than my old Sony SmartWatch 3, I really liked Sony's special reflective LCD screen which meant you could turn off the back-light entirely and still just about read the screen. This needs the back-light to be partially lit which drains the battery quite a bit.I've used Android Pay on the watch numerous times without any problem, you just have to make sure that you've opened the app before paying. You can customise the bottom right button to open an app of your choice, which is useful for a commonly used function.All-in-all a very good watch, it's packed with the latest version of Wear OS, it's comfortable and useful.

Fantastic watch, value and ecosystem around the watch - but straps and bevel could be a tad better
Fantastic watch. I bought a cheaper fitbit knock-off earlier which I had to return immediately for poor features and visibility in broad daylight (non-existant). There no comparison with this, the Huawei Watch 2. The whole eco-system around the watch, Android Wear (2), Huawei Wear (in my case) and Huawei Health - all work superbly on my Huawei P9 smartphone. This purchase, if anything, also vindicates my trust in Huawei brand in the first place and now feels a very good decision. For value for money, features and everything else I give this watch 5 stars. The only downsides to me are 1) the much-talked-about watch bevel is indeed rather plastic-like and has no purpose/functionality and does to a degree let down the overall feeling of precision, value, reliability and sophistication of the actual watch + apps that all work great with it. You feel that Huawei should have either added some functionalty to the bevel or if it's meant for appearance-only, made the appearance better (less plastic-looking). And 2) the watch-strap itself is just OK. It looks good (or good enough) and feels OK but is/was a tad short. As a large-boned 6 footer the strap was just a tad short and the watch never felt as if it was sitting on wrist very well. However the replacement FanTEK straps I bought from Amazon are excellent and excellent value at £12/prime (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B071NFJZTT/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and the strap is roughly 2-3cm longer. The watch now looks even better, fits better and sits on my wrist better too. I've now ordered an additional FanTEK strap colour variation as they're so easy to clip on/off in just a few seconds. Great design feature of both the Huawei Watch 2 and the replacement straps too.

Great watch with a few flaws
Review watch: Huawei Watch 2 (sport) Bluetooth only (same would apply to the HW2 Classic and HW2 4G):(Please note that the Huawei Watch GT does not run Google Wear OS however it is Android compatible)Ok so this is a tale of 2 halves (and overtime) with this watch.First Half:My first watch broke on the body of the watch there the lugs for the strap attached. This happened after owning it for a year, I loved the watch so much.. This seems to be a fundamental design flaw and the reason why man other watch makers make their bodies out of metal. Interesting to note that the HW1 and the HW GT both have metal bodies. I called Amazon who were great about it and sent a new watch out to me.Second half:Got my replacement watch from Amazon and something seemed amiss with it. The watch wasn't recognising when it was on my body (wearing it) - this meant there were nights where I was wearing the watch to bed and it wasn't recording my sleep - also the heart rate would just stop working during the day. The more annoying thing about it though is that to use Google Pay you have to have a lock screen on it that requires a code or pattern when you take the watch off and put it back on. This glitch meant I was having to do the pattern 4-5 times a day despite not having taken it off. Called Amazon and they again replaced it.Overtime:Had the new watch for a day already and it seems like I've got a fully functional watch again. I do feel like this is still the best Wear OS watch out there (mainly because of battery life) - the Fossil Sport is also a strong contender.Pro:Battery life is great if you turn off a few features and turn a few on (raise to wake off, always on screen on) - easily 2+ daysGoogle Pay is convenientGreat outdoor viewing (screen isn't as good as the new Samsung Galaxy Watches though)IP68 rating means you don't have to worry about it getting wetThe included strap is really nice - it feels cheap but it does a great jobNo continuous Bluetooth logo on my android watch to say it's connected (I is connected but no logo shown)Download near enough unlimited watch faces and it's simple to change them/edit the complications.Works really well with Android phones (mine Google Pixel 3 XL, previous was HTC 10)Built in GPSCan pair to Bluetooth headphonesSpeaker is V loud and quality of phone calls on the watch is goodV comfortable to wearTakes 20mm bands that are easy to fit/change (22mm for the HW2 Classic)Cons:Plastic body of the watch means it's not as sturdy as it's metal counterpartsWear OS by Google isn't as polished as Tizen (Samsung watch) and Apple Watch software but it is easy to useCan lag a little bit (solved by activating developer options and changing the animation scale)Not a fan of some of the stock watch facesProbably not going to get the best out of this watch when paired to an iPhone.Would I buy again? Yes I would assuming nothing else has come out running Wear OS that beats it for battery life
