Great supplement
We’ve struggled with our dog’s scooting and inconsistent stools for months, and our vet recommended adding more fiber. Within two weeks of using Protexin Pro-Fibre, the difference has been incredible. Her stools are much firmer, which has naturally helped clear her anal glands - no more trips to the vet for manual expression! She seems to like the taste of the pellets and eats them right up with her kibble. If your dog has a sensitive tummy or needs that extra bulk in their diet, this is worth every penny.

Absolutely brilliant, has really helped our girls
Okay so if your reading this you're furry friend has either had issues with small soft stools, anal gland issues or not emptying enough, well our two cavilear king charles spaniels had some of the above and after a emergency trip to the vets with our youngest cavalier for an anal gland abscess I decided to look into what I could do to help our two girls, the vet advised us to use a fiber suppliment to help as he was happy with their diet but some dogs just need a little extra help to support anal gland health and cavilears are easily prone to this issue as we've found with both girls, one was needing her glands expressed every 6 to 8 weeks and our other little one showed no signs of any issues until one afternoon when we saw blood in her stool and that's when the abscess was found later that day by the vet. We tried pumpkin powder but that didn't really make a difference so after a weekend of searching online I came across this stuff as the recommendation of trying bran flakes or weetabix didn't really help either and I was concerned with the sugar and salt content so I decided it had everything I was looking for, pre and pro biotics and high fiber all in one so thought let's see how they are with this and oh my god within 24 hours the difference was amazing, just one level scoop which is included with their morning meal made such a huge difference, both girls were going to the toilet properly, no straining and no more soft poops and the size was unbelievable, no more little cat type poops ( sorry for the over share but I'm still amazed by that ) their scooting has almost stopped and we go the the vets every 5 weeks at the moment so their glands can be checked by a nurse and even they are amazed at the difference this product has made, we are now taking them every 3 months and still alls fine .. Both our girls are much happier too, Im so very glad to have found this and decided to try it it's saved us a small fortune in expensive vet bills and worrying about if their glands are going to flare up again and they not show any signs until it causes an abscess , I've now got this on subscribe and save and have recommended this to a few friends who have all said the difference is unbelievable also Sorry for the long review but this is definitely worth trying and the difference it made for our girls has really made a huge difference , truly. the price is well worth it

Pretty sure it’s effective
Our Vet swears by this so we tried it as our Dachshund had compacted anal glands and suffered an abscess. It’s worked! Latest visit showed anal glands are virtually clear. We bought a cheap Lidl coffee grinder and grind the pellets to powder and mix into her food.

Magic in a tub for great value
I have 2 senior cats (13yrs old in 2 months), and inevitably as they age they’re developing health issues. Ziggy has Feline IBD (think Crohns Disease or Ulcerative Colitis in humans) which I’ve managed to keep under control with a high protein diet, I feed him tinned food from Thrive and no dry food whatsoever, but whenever he brings up a hairball this aggravates his system and he’ll be vomiting for several days after, he’s a pretty furry cat but he only needs a small amount of fur in his sytem to set him off so it’s far more frequently than his brother brings up hairballs. Tiggy has issues with his anal glands, this started about 6 months ago, he’d be scooting his bottom on the floor and licking a lot more than usual, he didn’t seem distressed and it would only be a day at a time, I didn’t know what it was at first but thought I’d just keep an eye on it. It kept happening about once a month and I noticed his stool was harder than usual and smaller, and a little smellier. The last time was different, he got very distressed and was really struggling with going to the toilet, I think it was causing some pain and his scooting became a bit frantic, so I did a bit of reading and figured it out as being his anal glands, so I took him off to the vet who confirmed and expressed the glands for him. Tiggy suffers anxiety pretty badly after we all lived in a violent household for some years (free now), and the trip to the vet really set off his anxiety, it was heartbreaking for me and so decided to have a look into any natural ways of managing these gland issues to avoid the distress of repeated vet visits. I came across this and it looked promising coupled with reviews of success with anal gland issues. Plus, I actually have Crohns Disease myself and the human equivalent of this product is a drink called Fybogel, which is a safe fibre for intestinal issues so I immediately felt safe in trying this product for both of my boys issues. The way it works is that when it comes into contact with the liquid in the gut it becomes like a slimy gel which lubricates the intestines and helps waste to slide through without issue and without irritation, very helpful to avoid inflammation with IBD and puts less strain on the anal glands so they can settle down and start working properly too. They’ve been having it now for about a month. Tiggy hasn’t had any issues with his glands whatsoever, his stool now looks normal and there’s more in the box (I never thought I’d be happy to have more poop to scoop), no scooting and no extra licking. He’s using the litter box without distress and without straining. I’d say I started noticing a real improvement after about 2 weeks of this daily. For Ziggy, I gave him this in the hopes that he would start passing his hair in his stool rather than vomiting it up. So far so good, after a month there’s only been one hairball up and it was tiny, there wasn’t any repeated vomiting after from irritation either which is fantastic. It also seems to have helped his acid reflux which is a part of having IBD, as I’ve not noticed any on the floor since he started this. I use half a scoop each day (for those who’ve said the scoop wasn’t in the tub, I thought the same when I opened mine, but I emptied the tub into another container and the scoop has actually settled to the bottom of the tub), I don’t add any water to it, just mix it in their food (my boys only have wet food) and they eat it all up, they took to it straight away so I’m guessing that it tastes good as Tiggy is more than a little fussy with food! So far, I’ve been giving this to both boys every day for a month and we’ve used about a quarter of the tub, so it should last about 4 months, which considering the benefits and the price of the tub, it’s more than good value, and to see to happier furbabies makes it priceless
