It gently exfoliates while cleansing, helping to relieve dryness, itching, and flaking without being harsh. Does not burn. The combination of salicylic acid and lactic acid works really well to smooth rough patches while still feeling soothing. I really appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and non-irritating, which is so important for sensitive, psoriasis-prone skin. It lathers nicely, rinses clean, and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated instead of tight or stripped. After the first use, I noticed my skin looked calmer and felt much more comfortable. I have struggled with dry, flaky skin my whole life (33 years). What has helped me up til now is 1) showering no more than 2x a week, 2) use warm, instead of hot, water, 3) exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate, and 4) moisturize after my showers. And this has helped me manage a bit, especially for 24 hours after my shower. However by days 2 and 3, I would start to feel dry again and I hated it (especially in the winter). I saw in a reviews for an exfoliating cloth that this one reviewer had found that using the exfoliating cloth, with a urea based product for cleansing and then a lactic-acid product, for moisturizing after the shower, brought him a ton of relief. I will all the products I'm now using in my routine below. So, I decided to give it a go! Wow wow wow! This is the most hydrated my skin has felt EVER... and it's been longer than 24 hours since my last shower! This cleanser is on the liquidy side, but used in conjunction with my new exfoliation cloth, it lathers up so nice and I actually only need one squirt of this per shower. I use dove for sensitive skin on my delicate skin areas (underarms, thigh crease area, and under breasts) but then use this cleanser everywhere else. I've used it on my face too and haven't had any issues. HIGHLY recommend this product and the other products I bought on Amazon for my dry skin! Pretty great product, however, the bottle was scratched when it came in.

i had a psoriasis flare up and thought I would try this. I use it every day and my psoriasis cleared up quickly. I have a few spots but not like I was and they are not itchy or scaly anymore.

Does the product work? Yes, I definitely think so. Does it smell good? Not really. Is the product easy to dispense and use? Not especially, because it's so watery that some of it runs off my hand before I can apply it to my skin. Will I keep buying it? Yes, because it does seem to work and has very good ratings from others. Amazon has become very lazy when shipping items like this. The first bottle I received was open (the pump had been popped up), and some liquid had leaked out into the box. The bottle wasn't wrapped in plastic and didn't have tape to prevent the pump from being activated. CeraVe should probably do something about this if they don't want their product reviews tainted by the poor packing job.
