I'm good at tying knots but this string defeats me
I'm good at tying knots but this string defeats me: it constantly slips out of the stick holes. Otherwise good.

Fell apart within minutes of using - luckily I caught the nut and fixed it!
I've given this diabolo three stars only because I managed to find the nut that fell off it and fit it back myself. I was trying it out for fun before giving it to my daughter and the thing fell to pieces within minutes. If she'd been playing with it I would never have found the nut and Amazon would be sending me a replacement. The nut had become unscrewed: it's fiddly to put back but will do so, however I don't know how long it will stay there! For the money, it's a bit of fun and, to be honest, I'm glad I spent no more as my daughter lost interest as soon as she realised it's not easy to play with.

Mookie Diabolo - Great!!
These have been going round the school playground for the last two weeks and I finally gave in to getting my son one, who's 8. Concerned about the ones with metal cores, these are apparently meant for the more experienced users, we opted for this inexpensive version. It's sturdy enough, weighty enough and he hasn't stopped playing with it, as they do.BUT more IMPRESSIVE is I ordered it at 5.15pm last night and it arrive at 8.40am this morning!!!Haven't rated as durable yet as only just got it but seems sturdy, probably the thing to wear out is the nylon string but that can easily be replaced if need be.

good value for money
good value for money, these are cheap after all, but they are not really heavy enough for children to master the skill of diabolo. I found they were helped by adding a great chunk of blu-tak which gave them extra weight and therefore more possible to spin and control. more a toy than a skill learning diabolo.

Good starter diabolo
This was the second diabolo I bought my son of 10 years old. The first one I picked up in a local toy shop for a couple of pounds and it broke the first time he used it. This one has been fab as a learner diabolo. He can do amazing tricks with it and after a month is ready to move on to a better one. Worth every penny. He has diaboloed (?spelling!) before school, during school & after school. it has got him off the computer games without an argument.

Bit of a 5 minute wonder!
My daughter (aged 10) bought this for herself after seeing a friend at school with one. I think it is much harder to master than she expected and she doesn't seem interested in it enough to persevere and practice. Also within a few minutes of getting it, she dropped it, on a carpeted floor, and it broke. We were able to fix it but I wouldn't recommend playing on a hard surface with it as its clearly not that resilient!

good quality
i can't really say how this has performed as my spoilt 6 year old lost interest in it very quickly. the thing seems sturdy enough and well made so will put away for the future.
