We have had loads of stair gates for kids and pets but this is definitely the best. It has very little assembly, basically you are putting the feet on the gate. There are two ways of using it. On stairs you would want both feet on same side for stability, for doorways the feet are fastened halfway on each and you can change it. It's a quality gate, and excellent to separate a grumpy 14 year old Yorkie from our young kitten when things get two boisterous. 😀 they need time out from each other as they are just learning to live with each other. This would be no good for an Alsation, they would jump it, so it's more to keep smaller pets apart. But I think they will make a taller one.the two gates slide smoothly against each other enabling you to get a perfect fit. Although instructions shoe two modes of fixing, I can see a third way for certain doorways. This is the first time I have written a review as soon as I used the product but I am confident it's sturdiness will be invaluable. It also looks a lot nicer than many all metal gates. The big advantage for me is I can also stride over it, no unfastening needed. No pressure fit problems. It's good.

excellent item, just what we needed at bottom of stairs and doorways to stop new rescue dog getting to the cat as they are still getting to know each other-it is very easy to set up , just 8 screws -4 in each side to put in- and you can choose to either set up for bottom of stairs , or between walls/barrier , it is free standing so you can move around freely, we intend to use to stop dog getting in various areas, and for us, we have put on bottom stair between wall and stair rail post using version A Set up, if you were putting at bottom of stairs completely, you need to set up version B as in photo with this item(The only difference being where screws go on base to make it the sturdiest you can for the space as if you set up with the screw in middle of base, then it can't go snug up to the bottom of the stair treads if that makes sense), so simple to use simply slide to fit your space, can be adjusted readily.great value as good quality wood -not flimsy and should last years- I may buy the taller wider version for the garden to block off areas -see same Trixie range(I don't think meant for garden use but I will put away when not needed in garage)very happy with this and put together in less than 5 minutes with just a screw driver - NB This is not foolproof for a dog barrier if you are wanting to keep dog away from babies/children I would say more a deterrent as I would imagine any terrier like mine will easily clear this if they are determined jumpers-so please use with caution if you need an actual barrier it is only 50cm high after all which most small dogs can get over.will be great for pups though.

I needed a selection of cheap gates for my new puppy, I didn't want hugely expensive ones as he is chewing everything and I didn't really want to spend a lot on something he would eventually chew. I liked the look of these, I liked that you can pull them out to make them longer which is what I needed and so far these have done exactly what I wanted them for. They are very easy to put together, and you can choose either to use them for doorways or for the stairs depending on how you fix the feet in place. Once put together they look really good in the house, far better then your usual baby gates. I do think that they have a few downsides, firstly the wood is untreated and a little thin, my puppy has chewed the feet very easily. One of the gates pre-done holes to put together didn't fit the screws provided so one of my gates are a little wobbly, but I can live with that. Finally, they are quite short, my Patterdale puppy can easily place his front feet on the top on them, in a few more weeks he will be able to jump over them. So I don't recommend them for anything larger then a Patterdale or bulldog. What I have found you can do is stand them on their side and then you have taller gates, which is what I will be doing when my pup gets bigger. Overall, decent dog gates, they look good and easy to store away.

Fabulous, sturdy and made very well. It saved me from yet another ugly fixed stairgate. I have a fixed one across my utility where my dog sleeps, but every time i want to do jobs, answer the door I have to continuously put her behind the stair gate for safety reasons being only a pup, now i can have this across my kitchen door, or any door, or the bottom of the stairs. When I'm busy in the kitchen my pup can stay with me safely I dont have to shut my kitchen door shutting myself off from the family. I can step over it easily and she gets safely left behind if i need to to a job where i dont want her to follow, i can answer the front door without fear of her getting out etc etc, and in the evening we put it across the sitting room where we watch tv, knowing she is in that room and not having free range of the house. Excellent good investment. Few notes: step over it carefully obviously and not suitable for big dogs, i.e. Labradors, Alsatians, etc, big breeds. I have a cockapoo. she won't be big. If will suffice all puppies and full grown small to medium breeds. its sturdy and would take a big dog or human to push it unless you have an unruly dog. My dog is playful but she won't push this over. really recommend for any busy household wanting to contain a dog to a room when they've come out their crate and your spending time with them.

We were keen on something to prevent our puppy getting out of his room. This is well made and sturdy and I would imagine it would deter many puppies. Ours didn't get past it but I didn't think it would be too long before he would be able to leap over it! Maybe could be a bit higher. It couldn't be used on the stairs as the feet were too large. Quality product, easy to assemble and provided with a couple of spare fixings if ever needed.

Didn’t want a fixed gate and this is brilliant at the bottom of the stairs to stop tiny paws coming up. Easily assembled and very good value for money. Easily adjusted to the width of your gap and would buy again but I doubt I will have to as it’s really good quality x

Disappointed with the product, easy enough to put together but a shame you have to take it apart and put together again to change it to be used on stairs. However, biggest problem is that whilst it looks study (if small as described by others) it simply doesn't last. With little use the first metal grate fell down leaving a gap in the frame, which had to be fixed by cable ties. This effectively stops the gate from sliding together. A couple of weeks later the same happened with the other one and yet more cable ties...... Poor quality overall, wish I hadn't wasted the money on it.

This gate is perfect for small dogs and puppies. It goes across the hallway when someone comes to the door or I have a food delivery, then it goes back to across the doorway to my weaving room, then at night it goes across the kitchen doorway for the new pup to keep out of mischief. I bought a more fixed safety gate for the old dog 2 years ago which is not suitable now as I have had nice new woodwork fitted to doors and doorway and don't want to screw through the oak and spoil it, so that one is between the porch and front door. This adjustable barrier is so very useful and well worth the money and it looks good against the oak doors! A few people have commented that it is not high enough, but dogs understand that they shouldn't jump over, the two smaller dogs can't, but the large border Collie cross wouldn't dream of trying to get over it, she is so well trained UPDATE 2 months later This is still an excellent barrier for my jackawawa dog and puppy, however sliding it to adjust became difficult, but I used a candle on the ridges and hey presto it slides like majic

* Da wir neue Welpen zu Hause haben und ein großes Treppengeländer im Flur, wollten wir für Sicherheit sorgen und haben uns gleich für zwei Trixie Absperrgitter entschieden. Das Absperrgitter ist sehr massiv (volles Holz) und lässt sich mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben perfekt und schnell zusammenbauen. Lustig, dass sogar eine Schraube und eine Abdeckung als Reserve übrig bleiben, das gibt es so nicht bei anderen Produkten. Das Absperrgitter steht sehr fest, da es relativ schwer ist und sehr stabil. Durch das Ausziehen erreicht man eine beachtliche Breite, so dass zwei Gitter perfekt für unsere Treppengeländer passen. Ein sehr gut verarbeitendes Produkt, massiv und von hoher Qualität. FAZIT Manche schlechte Rezensionen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Einen motivierten Hund wird das Gitter nicht abhalten können, aber Welpen bis 6 - 8 Kg kommen da sicher nicht durch. Ältere Hunde hat man dann (hoffentlich) schon so weit ausgebildet, dass sie manche Treppen einfach nicht benützen dürfen! Das Gitter ist also eine erste Barriere für kleine Hunde und Welpen. Für größere Hunde empfehle ich Baby/oder Hundeabsperrgitter zum Einklemmen. .

Maltese Terrier köpeğimin merdivenlerden yukarı çıkmaması için benzer bir ürün arıyordum, bunu gördüm. Ebatlarının istediğimiz şekilde ayarlanabiliyor olması ve merdivene kolay bir şekilde monte edilmesi benim ilgimi çekti. 1 günde Kolay Gelsin ile teslim edildi. Kolayca kurulumun yaptım ve tam aklımdaki gibi oldu. Almayı düşünenler varsa bence gönül rahatlığı ile alabilir. Köpek buna bir şey de yapamadı, sağlam bir şekilde yerinde duruyor.

Es sencilla de montar y la veo de buena calidad. Es de madera, y los barrotes son metálicos. Las patas cuentan con unas almohadillas antideslizantes y protectoras del suelo. Yo la he comprado para una gata, para evitar que entre a determinadas estancias de la casa. Aún no he comprobado si es lo suficientemente alta para que no la salte, porque es de tan solo unos 50 centímetros de alto. Sin embargo, el que no sea más alta nos permite a los humanos poder saltarla fácilmente y cruzar al otro lado sin necesidad de quitarla. Por otro lado, como no se fija a la pared y al no ser muy pesada, se puede quitar y poner sin esfuerzo. Además es extensible, así que se puede ajustar al tamaño del pasillo o la puerta por los que quieras impedir el paso. Como digo, yo la he comprado para evitar que una gata adulta no muy grande que vive en el interior de casa entre a alguna habitación, o para ponerla en el pasillo y que no tenga acceso a alguna zona de la casa. Pero debido la baja altura de la barrera, puede ser que la salte (según las ganas que tenga de pasar al otro lado, jeje), así que quizá sea más efectiva para impedir el paso de perros no muy grandes y especialmente para evitar que suban y bajen escaleras. En cuanto al montaje, hay dos tipos, según la función que le quieras dar: si es para montar en escaleras, las patas se colocan mirando hacia un lado de la barrera, sin que sobresalgan por el otro lado. Sin embargo, si es para evitar el paso a alguna habitación, las patas se colocan centradas, para que tenga más estabilidad y no vuelque si se empuja. Sólo me queda comprobar si efectivamente la gata no la salta y cumple entonces su cometido. Cuando lo compruebe, actualizaré mi opinión. ---ACTUALIZACIÓN DE OPINIÓN--- Me resulta muy útil porque mi gata no la salta, no porque no sea capaz, sino porque directamente ni lo intenta. Se planta delante, mira un poco a través de los barrotes y, viendo que no puede pasar, se vuelve por donde ha venido. ---NUEVA ACTUALIZACIÓN--- Para mi gata adulta, que le cuesta más saltar y trepar, me sirve. Sin embargo, con gatos pequeños no me ha servido, porque estos sí que la saltan sin difucultad y cruzan al otra lado de la valla.

Stabil och lätt att flytta runt. Jag lägger en extra tyngd på foten så att hunden inte kan flytta den.
