The camera is amazing because it's a GoPro in all but name. However (as I've found to my cost) don't get a 64GB Ultra or Extreme card for it. It would appear (though I haven't had it confirmed by the manufacturer - I only emailed a few hours ago) that the largest Micro SD card that can be used with this device is 32GBs.I don't feel cheated (having bought two 64GB cards) because a) I'll be able to use them in other devices and b) the camera is very, very good for the money so the extra expense still doesn't get me even close to the cost of a genuine GoPro.

This product was received free from the manufacturer in return for an honest and unbiased review.I do a lot of cycling and have become a little obsessed with tracking my rides in the last few years. More recently I have started thinking about a bike cam, and when the manufacturer offered me this for review it seemed like a perfect opportunity.What's in the box: Camera, Waterproof Housing, Mounts, USB Cable, Charger, User Manual.First impressions: just from the packaging and the feel of the device it suggests a quality item. It certainly does not feel cheap and nasty. In the box is a vast array of bits and bobs to mount the camera to almost anything, and to connect it in a variety of ways to the device of your choice.First use: To get the camera working was dead simple. I am a bit of a dinosaur with little technical nous, so a lot of devices these days have features that I cannot access. No problems with this at all, it works straight out of the box. I use a 32 Gb micro SD card (not supplied) which is easy to insert once you have managed to get the camera out of it's waterproof casing. There is also a WiFi mode that allows you to control the camera from your phone. I have not used this, but I can see that it would be handy.The camera can take stills or movies. It claims to be 16 MP, and (though I am not an expert, so please do not take as gospel) I see no reason to doubt it. Pictures look good and sharp on the small screen.The image quality of the video is good, with 30 fps at 4K resolution. Images and sound are clear and sharp. Frame rate can be increased to 60 fps (at the expense of resolution, which drops to 1280*720 p)A feature I particularly like is the fisheye that allows you to get a 170 degree of arc field of view, very useful for action videos. It does distort the image a little, but it is a useful feature.The camera also does looped recording and time lapse stills, all handy features. A well thought through and feature rich design I think.I have used this on a bike ride and been impressed so far. With it mounted on the handlebars it records pretty much what I saw. Battery life is about 60 minutes on the highest resolution recording, I am going to try again next weekend on a lower res setting to see if this extends the life. I liked that there is a second battery included. Being able to quickly install a freshly charged battery is a great feature.A good little camera for the money. 5 stars.

This is a cheaper alternative to some of the more popular action camera brands. However, image function wise it stacks up well. The camera features a 2.0 inch screen which whilst small, is useful for lining up your shots / viewpoint. The camera records onto a TF card and will support up to 64GB, however you do need to purchase a card as none is provided. Alternatively the camera will stream directly to a tablet, phone or other device using Wi-Fi. Charging the camera is done via a little dual charger and a lead but no wall plug is provided.The camera functions well as both an action camera and a dash cam. It is easy to mount and can be used underwater to 30M, however for underwater filming you might want a float which is not provided. It also comes with a remote, which functions well although I am uncertain of what use I will put it to.Picture quality is extremely good, colours are vibrant and the frame rate gives relatively smooth shots for an action camera. The only downside is the battery life which is around 75min. Fortunately, two batteries are provided and you can recharge them from a powerbank if necessary.The camera also comes with a small number of accessories which are accurately pictured in the product description. However, to make the best use of the camera may well want to buy an additional set of accessories.Overall, a good value action camera.
