A truly remarkable bag
I carry my Jumbo Versipack everywhere (and I mean everywhere). Whether it's just outside my house to let me dogs have a run, or a business trip hundreds of miles from home, the items I need the most are always at my side in my Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack. I carry a stainless steel Camelback 27oz water bottle in there at all times (though it's worth mentioning that the bottle pouch easily accommodates a 40oz Nalgene or even a Klean Kanteen bottle). This pack can be extended with a Maxpedition Janus pouch (which clips onto the shoulder strap using Fastex buckles) adding EVEN MORE value to this bag by enabling you to keep your phone, wallet/purse, keys and any other crucial items always within the reach of your hands. The main compartment is large enough to carry a pair of trainers with room to spare (if, for some reason, you ever find yourself needing to carry a pair of trainers in it anyway). The "Concealed Carry" compartment at the back of the pack comfortably fits a Nexus 7 (again, with some room to spare) There is nothing at all bad about this bag. All of the materials used are top-of-the-range. > The zippers won't break no matter how hard you tug them open or closed > The buckles are made from a balistics material (as is the 1000 Denier Cordura fabric the pack itself is made from) and won't crack or snap like most other buckles out there. > The strap is remarkably strong, and there's simply no amount of weight you could ever fit in the pack that'll break or damage it. > The stitching is superb, with double-seams and even double-box-stitching used. The thread itself is beyond industrial strength (think military-grade) unlike other bags which use weak cotton. > The pack has PALS/MOLLE webbing which enables you to connect additional pouches (such as a flashlight sheath or even one of Maxpeditions huge range of organizer pouches), extending your carry potential and instant access flexibility. I personally carry a double-sheath: one containing a small flashlight, the other containing a Gerber Suspension Multi-tool. I use both items every single day, and can always find them at hand because they're right there on my Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack. If you're looking for a bag you want/need to use every single day, that has organization and will last you a lifetime... BUY THIS ONE! If you prefer to carry your bag on your left-hand side instead of the right, make sure you buy the S-TYPE Jumbo Versipack! Go on... buy it now! You won't be disappointed!

Maxpedition 3.5l Jumbo Versipack
As other reviewers have already stated this is an excellent product. I have longed for one of these bags (I know very sad) for a couple of years after first reading about them. Expensive, but, when looking at the indestructible quality and shear versatility of the product you can understand why. Make no mistake, these are very definitely expedition bags for real men, not some fancy accessory for the high street. Tough materials and tough looks. Superb for carrying all those bits and pieces you always want at hand when out on expeditions/holidays/days out etc. but never have space in pockets to carry. No more asking your female partner to put your sunglasses, mobile, or other items in their handbag for you when you can carry it all easily with you in your own kit bag. I won't go into all the dimensions of various pockets (10 in all) as this information is readily available on the excellent Maxpedition web site, but, I would say this is a perfect size for my needs with more than enough space without being too heavy or bulky. You will also discover (on the web site and Amazon) that there are various attachments and accessories available to enhance your Versipack. One word of warning though, Amazon claim that the 1 litre water bottle will fit - WRONG! The bottle holder pocket will only hold the 0.5 litre bottle. Excellent purchase and delivered next day using Amazon Prime. Now to save up for one of those large duffel bags Maxpedition do ready for my trip to the USA in a few months!

You will love it. Don't but cheap alternatives.
I've bought cheap in the past but after buying this I've gone on to buy more and more Maxpedition kit. If you buy cheap you buy twice. This satchel will last you a lifetime. The zips also get less stiff over time. Buy it. I bought two cheaper versions (£20 ish) and the internal rain cover became un-stitched on both within a couple of months. On another note if you own a Maxpedidtion Fatty pouch it will fit well inside and still give you room for more kit. If you by the Maxpedition Fatboy you will struggle to get in much more. It feels solid and so versatile.

Rugged and strong and very comfortable.
I love this bag. I bought this bag to carry with me every day to work and on short hikes. Its perfect for carrying lunch, tablets (too small for laptops), water canisters (KleenKanteen 40oz fits absolutely perfectly), first aid bits, stationary and so on. Its fantastically comfortable and small enough as to not snag on branches or fences. The waist strap makes it exceptionally comcortable as it takes alot of the weight off your shoulder and helps stop the bag from jumping around while you walk. They are expensive but these Maxpedition products are definately built to last.

Item Supplied Is Not The 'S'
Good quality bag, but the one I received is not the 'S' version for left hand carry. I'll live with it, but dissapointing.

Spot on.
I purchased this a month or so ago after having seen them on Youtube, I think. I did some research and found that Maxpedition seem to be well regarded, particularly on the U.S. I have not been disappointed. I use this along with a couple of Maxpedition's pocket pouches as an every day carry bag and as a bag to carry some food and small bits and bobs when I am on a long dog walk, for example. It is built like a brick outhouse with tough ballistic nylon material. Given that it only has one strap in a sling style, as long as you don't hugely load it with weight, it is comfortable on the shoulder. It has a one inch wide waist strap which can be used to secure it to your body. This stops it moving around when on a hike. Lots of pockets, clips and Molle webbing attachments. There is not really anymore I can say that is not already out there on the web. Check out Youtube and you will find loads of really useful reviews on this and other Maxpedition gear. I highly recommend it, and would I buy some more of their stuff? I already did, and at some point, a rucksack from them is on the cards. Go buy one.

I love this bag
I love my Maxpedition bag. Tough, functional and looks good. I get complements on it all the time. The webbing allows it to be accessorized with other pouches, which I have done. The temptation to do this can cause the price of your bag to balloon alarmingly. By the time I had added an M1 Waistpack, as well as Janus, Anenome and Barnacle pouches, the total cost of my bag had snowballed to around £170. But on the other hand I now have a bag that is likely unique, For all I know there is no other Jumbo Versipack in the world customised like mine, and that has a certain appeal. A word of warning though, Blackhawk speed clips are far superior to Maxpedition Tac Ties for attaching accessories. It is also important to have realistic expectations. While wearing my bag in *VERY* heavy rain, I found that the front zippered, side and top pockets did soak through allowing their contents to get wet. The main pouch with its rain skirt remained bone dry inside, as did the "concealed carry" pouch and the front pouch under the main flap. One of the good things about this bag for outdoors use is it can be worn under a rain poncho and accessed without needing to take the poncho off. Also have realistic ideas about the size. I found that it is strictly a little small for my 12" TF300 transformer tablet, although by loosening the buckle straps I can get it inside the main pouch. It does stick up a bit when I do this. Maxpedition gear is very expensive. And once you start customising, it can be hard to stop. This is a lethal combination. They are however very good bags. This wont be my last. I'm planning on buying a Monsoon gearslinger in the future - oh and to that end I'll make one last suggestion. If you plan on accessorizing, pick a colour you like to begin with. That way accessory pouches can be moved between bags if you ever buy another.

Jumbo Versipack
I have been after one for months and saw this one £88 well worth it, they are brilliant bags really tough loads of pockets for all my bits that carry with me. I have added a phone pouch and extended the shoulder strap so the bag sits lower on my hip until I can get a Janus extension, the bags isn't an S type, its the standard right hand carry but I wear it both sides, the S type is a mirror copy of the standard. Comfy to wear even full I use it to carry my DSLR and extras, really pleased I have it with me all the time.
