I recently purchased the RAUBAY Monitor Top Camera Mount Clamp (CM01) for my home office setup, and it has proven to be an excellent solution for my webcam positioning needs. The installation process couldn't be simpler - the clamp attaches securely to the top of my flat-screen monitor without any tools required. What impressed me most is the remarkable stability this mount provides. There's absolutely no wobbling or movement of my camera, even when I'm typing vigorously or moving around at my desk. The camera stays perfectly still, ensuring professional-looking video during conferences and recordings. The flexibility in positioning is another standout feature. The adjustable arm allows me to fine-tune the exact angle and height of my webcam, which has been invaluable for finding the most flattering angle for video calls. The 1/4" standard screw fits perfectly with my webcam and provides a secure connection. It's good and does the job, It's plastic so be careful and it will last, people complaining are just not careful or used too much force. Had it for a few months already.

If the top of your monitor is more than 3/8" thick, this product will not work without help. I have a very large LG 49" curved monitor. The top of that monitor is 1.25" wide. I can sit a coffee cup on it. I say that so you know I'm not talking about the face of the monitor, I'm talking about the actual top of the monitor where the camera mount sits. The Raubay product that I'm commenting on is not made for that monitor thickness. If it's wider than 3/8", the base sent with the item will not sit in a position that allows the camera swivel to be upright. It is a bit of a hack, but it is working well for me. Admittedly, I'm attaching a light Logitech Brio webcam to it, not a heavy full sized camera like some of the other users of this product are boasting. I'm not sure it would be stable with all that weight. And, the 2nd product does change the intended design of this one. The swivel is meant to be mostly behind the top of the monitor. This is for a laptop monitor, not a Desktop monitor. The hook at the top is too narrow for a desktop computer monitor

This will not fit on any monitor where the top edge of the monitor is more than 3/8" thick. That's 90% of the monitors in our company. Other than not working on 9 out of 10 monitors, it's a great idea and well built. If you have a monitor that's super thin on it's top edge, buy this. This is such a myopic design decision. I suppose the designer had only one skinny monitor to test this on.

I purchased because I did not have room for a tripod behind my monitor; I wanted to be able to have both my Logitech web cam (which I love and has the microphone I use), and my Sony a6000 both available for web video chat and vlogging. This mount fits thinner monitors best, but can be adapted for thicker screens such as my older iMac, which is more than 1" thick. For the old iMac, the ball socket has to be rotated so the clearance slot for the neck of the shaft that goes to the camera mount is up and toward the back, so the camera can be raised to the proper angle. This makes it less convenient to adjust the ball tension screw. On my regular monitor, I can place the tension screw up and to the back, which is easier to access. You may wish you had a third hand the first time you put it all together; there are four adjustment screws involved (which give it tremendous flexibility). However, once it is close to what you want, it is easy enough to back off each screw in turn and tweak the adjustment. I left the ball tension screw loose enough that the camera stays in place, but can be moved with hand pressure. Once you get it set, there's not much that needs to be changed. I think it does very well to hold my camera and take up the least amount of space.

It allows me to mount my Zowiebox on top of the HOST of the show's television monitor so they can watch the program on! The device works as promised, and I am happy with its build and quality!

Works OK on my curved Samsung screen but not ideal, not super stable. It probably works great on standard screens.
