Patella Knee Strap - Premium Patellar Tendon Support - Great Brace for Jumpers, Runners and Squatting (1 piece)

I purchased this having been MRI diagnosed with a torn meniscus. The surgeon said that surgery was not always reliable, and suggested physiotherapy. But I clearly needed some support/relief as the knee was constantly giving way and making loud clunking sounds, and was extremely sore and tender to touch. I opted to exercise it myself, and I found that the tube type knee support I had did not help. In many ways it made it worse by almost pushing the kneecap. I bought this because of good reviews. I can genuinely say it has been superb! Worn just below the knee it has managed to eliminate the movement, and I think given time for the knee to settle down. Being very thin it also is way more comfortable to wear under trousers,, and the knee/leg does not get hot and uncomfortable. Very happy with my purchase, and I intend to let my surgeon know also about it, by way of recommendation. After sales support has been really good also with tips and follow-up. My knee has settled down really well, and I will keep the knee support for any sign of significant re-occurrence, and for excercise

Ok item , but not quite the support I thought it would be

I've suffered pain in one of my knees for years when I used to do lots of sports, and despite doing lots of physiotherapy and strengthening exercises, it never truly went. I started running 4 months ago and my patella pain reared its ugly head again, to the point it was very painful going up and down stairs. I bought this product and it is truly incredible! It fits perfectly and when I initially had it on, it felt like it wouldn't support anything, let alone a knee - but I was absolutely wrong. My knee pain has completely ceased now, so I can run further, faster and most of all, pain free!

Over the past few years, I have had issues with my left knee which meant I would usually have a few days of (moderate) pain in the joint. After completing some research on various knee braces/straps, I decided to purchase this one from FinBurst to see if it would help me out with my hill walks. I took it out for its maiden trip over the weekend and have got to say that I'm hugely impressed. Fitting it on is easy enough and it was comfortable to wear for the 4 hours I was out walking. The walk involved some steep ascents and descents of some challenging hillside and at no point did I get the usual nagging pain in my knee and after the walk was completed my knee was still pain-free.

I have found a lot of knee supports to be very uncomfortable because they don't seem to cater for larger legs, so this avoids that problem. Despite looking a bit odd, it works surprisingly well and is comfortable to wear as long as I manage to adjust the straps so the corners of the velcro don't dig in as they are a bit sharp. I keep meaning to take a pair of scissors to them to round them off, but only ever remember when I'm out and they start to dig in.

Do these really work? The main problem for me was (once again), you have to be at least of average 'thickness' to get it tight. I'm a slim 5'11 male and this never really felt tight enough to stay in place under actual exercise. My real advice comes to you from a period of forced absence from exercise because of another illness, only then did my problems heal up and now my knee is fine. Seriously, I know this is VERY hard to do but STOP doing your activity, just walk as exercise, knock food levels down to maintain weight. Imagine if you cut your hand on the palm...it's never going to heal if you keep using it and tearing it open every day. Same thing. Don't fall into the physio exercises whilst injured trap, or if you must don't over do the intensity. HEAL. Then physio.

This is the second support brace I have tried. The first one was more expensive but a different style (the ones with the hole where your kneecap goes) and was a total washout so I sent it back. I ordered this one as a last ditch and I'm pleased I did. You can adjust it as much as you want for comfort and it's very supportive. I've noticed a massive difference when I'm going up and down the stairs. Worth every penny. Don't think that because it's cheap it's no good. You'd be wrong 😊

I tried other ones after losing a pair that didn't work at all. But these stay snug and do the job. I do recommend washing (but not machine drying) when you first get them.

Ne ho acquistati due per mio figlio (che ha la osgood slatter in entrambe le ginocchia) per sostituire i precedenti tutori ormai logori, utilizzati durante gli allenamenti e le partite di basket. Questi sono veramente di qualità superiore e molto aderenti e comodi. Mio figlio ne è entusiasta. Ne ho acquistati altri due per un compagno di squadra. Consigliatissimo!

Fa il suo dovere ma se si fanno tanti piegamenti l anello di plastica dove passa il laccio può essere fastidioso...una piccola modifica e posso dire di essere pienamente soddisfatto

Strap is very light and comfortable with the perfect amount of support ... I had a knee replacement 2 years ago which was done incorrectly and left my knee unstable and painful ... the strap is enough to get me through a 12 hour workday ... I plan to buy another to use when I'm in the pool ... it's a little large for me, so I have to wrap one strap over the other, but it's still very comfortable. Only disappointment was the discount code mentioned in the description was invalid at checkout.
