Naturtint Permanent Hair Colour Gel 5N Light Chestnut Brown, Plant Enriched, Biobased, Ammonia Free, Long Lasting Grey Coverage and Radiant Colour, Nourishment and Protection

I am more than pleased with my first purchase of Naturtint Hair Colour, from all the products I researched this appeared the kindest for my newly grown and sensitive hair after chemotherapy. I lost my hair completely and waited patiently for it to grow back to a point that I could colour it. It had returned almost completely grey, dry and brittle. I was very apprehensive about what product to use so as not to further damage the hair but definitely wanted to use something because as it was, it was making me feel old before my time and after going through all that horrendous and at times brutal treatment which gives your body image the ultimate battering, I wanted at least some of my confidence, sparkle and glow back. This product did the trick, my hair may be short but the resulting colour (4M/Mahogany Chestnut) was so vibrant and luscious and made me smile the biggest smile upon looking in the mirror. It is such a deep and rich shade and I wasn't expecting that from something free of harsh chemicals and made with 99% natural ingredients, I was dubious as to whether it would cover the strong and stubborn grey but it absolutely did! Application was a breeze, I mixed only half the mixture to a ratio of 1:1 in a separate applicator bottle and it was more than enough for my short hair so I have enough for another session when the need arises. It was gentle on my scalp and so nourishing on my hair, after just one application , not only was my hair a gorgeous colour it was soft, smooth and conditioned. The after colour quinoa conditioner mask included is integral to the whole colouring process and for a perfect finish so definitely not a step to be skipped and the generous amount means it can be used a good few times afterwards to keep your colour looking it's best. Naturtint may well be a little on the pricey side compared to some others on the market but I will 100% be purchasing again because to me it was worth every penny, it was kind and gentle on my 'new' hair which had grown back in a sad and sorry state. It has not only given my hair new colour but also a new lease of life. The fact I can get two applications from the one pack whilst my hair is still only short is a welcome bonus but when it grows longer (fingers crossed) and needs the entire contents to suffice, I will still be more than happy to purchase because it is a superior, vegan product of exceptional standard, enriched with organic oils and natural ingredients and my hair is most definitely worth it, as am I! Definitely easier on the pocket than a trip to the salon. So many stunning colours to choose from is a joy and I may well experiment in the future but for now this is my perfect shade. I have been using Garnier Nutrisse for years, but recently came out in a rash after using it. I’m not ready to stop dying my hair, so thought I’d give this a go. Did a sensitivity test first and all ok. It has a very natural smell, covered my hair well and didn’t dry it out. The quinoa mask to use afterwards is great, and also smells natural. Went a couple of shades lighter (9N) than usual (Garnier 8N) and it worked well. No hint of a rash or itchiness so will definitely be using this again.

I wanted to give this product 5 stars but Im not sure if its me doing it wrong when applying. The dye is great. No chemical burns, no itchiness and shine is great, and lasts longer than the regular shop bought dyes. Only issue I have is the conditioning balm. This is the second time I have used this make and the frst time, I used alot of balm and hair was really greasy, even after drying. The second time I dyed my hair with this product, I only used a small amount of the conditioner after and it is still very greasy and takes longer to dry. I only used half the bottle of dye and mixture this time too as I read somewhere if you have shorter hair (mine is shoulder length), you can use half the micture as long as the dye and other mixture is at a ratio of 1:1, which I did.If anyone can tell me what im doing wrong or has experienced the same as I dont want to keep trying different vegan types of hair dyes. I have to condition my hair after using this product as the hair dye itself leaves my hair feeling quite brittle and like straw.?

I'm really happy with how this hair dye looks on my hair. I wanted an ash blonde colour to apply to just the center of my roots covering the grey. It needed to blend in with the white hair at the sides of my head and blonde at the ends from where I dyed it last summer. Its done that really well, and the grey is covered and the colour is light, but not too harsh . Now I'm in my fifties I find blonde dye tends to be too bright for my skin tone, and wrecks my hair, but I hate the dull grey that my roots have now become. I had just resigned myself to having grey hair until it went completely white. I found this dye on Amazon, and having read the reviews, decided to just do part of my roots with it -in the middle and at the back of my head, and underneath. I left it on for half an hour and made sure it didn't go on the ends or the white hair at the sides of my head. I wasn't sure how that would look, but it looks great.

If you dye your hair blonde, you will more than know the pains of getting a light blonde result - the painful process of bleaching/frying your hair repeatedly to try and get the desired lightness! I am ill and cannot get to the hairdressers anymore nor cope with doing the traditional methods of bleaching myself at home. My illness combined with dark roots made me look at least 20 years older so I looked for something that wasn't too picky over how I (cackhandedly) applied it. I slapped it on as best I could and it lifted to the exact colour of the model - a blonde just as light as you would get with proper bleach (even though my roots were almost black with some streaks of grey). Yes, it has a slight tinge of yellow (like she does), but nothing I couldn't live with and if it bothers me later, it can easily be rectified with a blue shampoo/conditioner or proper toner. Results aside, the box is a super little kit with aftercare cream, shampoo, and everything you need. And the best is, it doesn't smell or take your breath away when applying!
