Melissa & Doug19356 Baking Play Set

I love Mellissa & Doug and this item certainly didn't disappoint. It has everything the young budding baker could want and can be used/washed with ease if you want to have them baking alongside you!

Bought this set for my granddaughters 2nd birthday and she loves it. It was bought to go with her little kitchen and she loves baking things for everyone to eat!

I introduced this to our reception class when I received it some time ago, and it has had more than a little use (and beating) since! It's a robust kit that the kids have absolutely loved playing with.As a UK educator the only complaints I would have are that it is tilted towards the American side (Cup measures in particular), and that most children of this age are going to struggle to comprehend the measures, so including fraction AND ml measures may be more confusing than helpful.Having said that it is a great kit and will recommended. Just ignore the amazon description as (at least at the time of this review) it seems to be talking about a completely different product!

This is a fun filled, good quality and good value set for children, that will have them occupied in the kitchen for ages. The mixing bowl is far to small for mixing in my opinion, but would be good for ingredients to be put in. I like that it has a good range of items, a little recipe book - including home made play doh!!!This is a great set at any time of the year, but especially at Christmas - lots of opportunities for mince pies, cake and gingerbread houses to be created with this great set.

I really like the Melissa & Doug range, i've had a few of their things and haven't been disappointed with any of them yet, and this set is no exception.BPA free from the plastics and usable stainless steel metal parts, I like this over other play sets i've seen as you can actually bake with it, as you would with an 'adult' sized set. The muffin tin and cutters and tray and everything else included are ready to make some tiny muffins!The quality at it's forefront is safe, but it's also pretty good in terms of quality materials. I think they wouldn't last if you were baking with them every week, but occasional use, the type of 'every now and then' that matches the kids attention span for specific toys, it's going to hold up.A great, well priced gift too if you're struggling to buy for a child but know they have a toy kitchen.Overall very pleased with the set.

Brilliant set of 20 miniature kitchen implements - a great way to introduce kids to the joy of cooking! It's all very solid and durable (this kit has taken a bit of a bashing already but is looking good). 2-year old loves it (with supervision) - especially the oven glove (god knows why) and I expect this will get a lot of use over time. Brilliantly straddles the line between fun toys and actual practical food-safe kitchen kit. Great stuff.

Bought this set for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. She loves pretend play and these look so real she actually thinks she’s cooking. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for pretend play for their littles.

This is such a great little kit. The 4 year old isn’t exactly gentle with his toys and these ones are holding very well. He loves this kit and plays pretend baking with his kitchen. Hours of fun!
