Wouldn’t be without Avipro it’s important for parrots health and it was a good price

I buy this for the local animal and bird rescue centre. They gratefully receive it and I've not heard they dont use it or that it isnt excellent. I know many veterinary practices carry this brand and that's usually a positive. When my sweet baby got sick it was too long shipping time for her to benefit so she had overnight delivery Guardian Angel which was miraculous. They are both going to work wonders for a sick feather baby however. I guess it comes down to preference or in my case the quickest delivery time.

If you've got any kind of birds, including chickens in our case, if they've been through a period where they've had antibiotics for some reason or you notice that they've had bouts of diarrhoea, then give this stuff and it sorts them out. Out. You need very little of it and you don't need to give it continually just for a few days until the problem resolves itself. It's part of my first aid kit for the birds.

I had to take a star off as the top of the container is far to narrow to get the product out using the large spoon provided. I had to empty the contents and use another container.

It has made such a difference to my 30 year old Cockateil he is like a young bird again. Wish they made it for humans.

I can't comment on whether this worked. I am very experienced with birds having had all sorts since childhood and over the last 30 odd years. It's very hard to tell if a bird is ill until they are seriously ill as they tend to mask the issue as they are pray animals and don't want to look like easy pickings to predators. Two of my cockatiels looked a little lethargic so I separated them from the others in hospital cages, kept them a safe distance from a heater and have given them plenty of fresh chop and an changing their water several times a day. My guess is as it's both the males that are affected only, it's seasonal affective disorder - basically they don't like being taken in from the aviary when it's too cold out there and are adjusting to indoors and are a bit stressed out about being taken from their territory (although both are tame). I got this powder to be safe as possible, I'd prefer not to take a costly trip to the vets so will do all I can before that is the only option. Some people gave this a negative review because there were salts in a pack within the bottle to keep the powder dry - I didn't have this issue so maybe they have listened to reviewers and changed this. If the birds recover on their own, I can't possibly say it's down to this or not as I have done a multitude of things to help them. Therefore I'll give it 5 stars just because it is cost effective, easy to use (just add it to water or sprinkle some on food) and hopefully works!

Does the job!

My poor boy became very unwell all of a sudden over the bank holiday. He’s about 8 years old so was thinking maybe his life was coming to an end but was willing to try anything so I bought this powder. He was pretty non responsive and sleeping all the time. I sprinkled it on the food and in the drink and washed the veg with it too as he wasn’t drinking. After a couple of days the other three started looking better than normal so I knew it was doing something but Minty was still quiet although he was looking a bit healthier and then by Thursday he looked like a new man, chatting, super green, chasing the ladies. After four days of the vitamins he made a complete turn around. He still gets a bit tired but at least he’s chatting and moving about again. Before and after pictures below. Thank you Avipro.
