I was told a few times that this could be helpful for getting a real source for Vit A, zinc and B vitamins which is big for some of my health issues. I know 8 capsules are needed daily on other brands for the equivalent of one meal of beef organs. I was happy to try just 6, but wanted to start slow and progress up as able to the full dosage spread through the day. I tried this one weekend 1 per day, a total of 3 days and had numerous side effects- hallucinations, suicidal, massive herxing like reaction. I stopped and waited another week to see if it was this or just something else. Nope, I had a repeat experience. I chucked these in the trash and went with a different brand and just liver (not a blend) and had no reaction other than what I wanted: clearer skin, energy and brain support. I’m sorry these didn’t work out as I love Mercola and want to support him and his business but I actually wonder if there was some contamination in this blend.

First, thank you to the cows that gave their life so I could nourish my body. I'm grateful for everything I eat and drink. I've struggled with anemia off and on throughout the years. I went vegan for over a year and was never so sick in my life. I would prefer to not eat meat, but even when I was supplementing for iron I wasn't getting what I needed. My body is just not made at this moment to be able to completely eliminate it but I'm manifesting being able to at some point. Because of all my food sensitivities and allergies I tend to be deficient in things, and I just don't feel like eating a huge variety of foods and react to so many supplements I feel stuck often. After all the research I've done throughout the years I know these are a solution for many. I even did a carnivore diet for 30 days to reset my body. I felt really good during that, but I just got so sick and tired of meat and I wasn't about to eat organ meats. I've tried one brand of these types of supplements before, but I have to be careful how much I take. I tend to get acne from too much iron or B12 which is frustrating because if I'm deficient I need them, and if I bump them up I break out like a teenager. Lol. I just sort of have to bump up things that can assist with acne when I am bumping up supplementing with these things. When I eat a lot of meat in general. Anyway, they suggest six a day. I've been doing six a day or six every other day. My body isn't having an issue with them. I feel like I have more energy when I take them. I'm glad that they are grass-fed cows, and I appreciate them.

When you can't eat enough meat or hate organ meats, then this is the way to go. I have bad teeth and it is hard for me to eat a lot of meats, and I don't care for the taste and texture of organ meats. I don't really like taking 6 capsules at once, but to get the nutrients I need it is worth it. I usually take 3 and the little while later take the other 3. I haven't had any stomach issues with these and no aftertaste.

My doctor talked to me about eating more organ meat to maintain healthy levels of iron and improve my immune system. It all sounds good in theory, but it's hard to come by this stuff, much less figure out how to cook it properly for human consumption. On top of it, my daughter, a typical American teenager, would not touch anything like liver, heart, or kidney with a ten-foot pole. The only alternative was to get us a supplement that contains all of the good ingredients (and not tell her what's in it). I have had a very good experience with Dr. Mercola products, and this Grass-Fed Beef Organ Complex is no exception. The supplement is made of organs from grass-fed cows raised in New Zealand and is free of hormones, and growth stimulants. The capsules are not very large, so they are easy to swallow. The serving size is six capsules, and I think this is a bit much, so we started from 2-3 per day. I can't tell for certain if the supplement is working (I would need to get a blood test done to confirm), but so far, we're feeling good and will continue taking the organ supplement as an alternative to eating real organ meat. Overall, I think this is a quality product, and I recommend it.
