Does this heal broken skin on face from spots?

I am not sure that it would be the right cream for this as it is very rich and might not help the spot situation. Otherwise it is an excellent and very soothing cream, probably more for dry skin issues though. Hope this helps.

Would you think that it would make a good facial moisturiser for very dry skin

It makes an excellent moisturiser for very dry facial skin and I have found it completely eliminates this problem for me within about 4-5 days. I apply this overnight quite liberally and just use my normal light moisturiser during the day. I have also used this recently on quite a long operation scar on my throat. I have tried various moisturisers and oils (some quite expensive) and Gold Bond is the only product I have used that has made a big improvement to the skin texture in the area.

Does it smell like the talcum powder?

Not to me but then I do not have much of a sense of smell !
