We have a large privacy fence which is a MAJOR pain to paint - especially by hand. We'd had this fence fitted a good couple of years ago, and have had it as a painting project for a good couple of summers as well! Living in Scotland, the Summers disappear as quickly as they come so finding the time to spend hours and hours and hours to pain this awkward fence was challenging. We are due to renovate our garden and decided that now was the time to revisit the painting monstrosity from scratch. I used a roller to paint the front slats and then started the painstaking process of painting the sides of the slats, and then what is effectively a second fence behind ours by hand with a brush (I hope this makes sense). Having spent hours and several weekends completing bits that hadn't been done previously I had pretty much finished the job except for one side that needed slat sides and the 2nd (back fence) painting - this is where the frustration came in. I needed to use a 1/2 inch brush to get through the gaps in the slats and it was at this moment I decided enough was enough - I'm buying a sprayer to complete the task (should have done this months, if not years ago!!). The fence was built by 2 separate traders so there is a slight difference on one element of the fence in terms of the gaps in the fence slats - one could be painted by hand (which I had) the other absolutely not - not with a 1/2 brush anyway!! (I have a 3 young kids, I work away a lot and our lives are very busy so time is short and very precious - just incase you're wondering why its taken years to paint a fence) Spent some time on Amazon and B&Q reading reviews and came across this product. I was apprehensive as we'd had 'professionals' come and quote for the job and advised against using a sprayer - weather conditions impacting, finish, consistency etc. I didn't want to spend a massive amount given I'd done most of the job already, but didn't have the patience to continue - so I picked this up whilst on offer (£58). I didn't need to water down the pain as actually the 2.5 litre Cuprinol (Urban Slate) paint already seems to be very watery - I'm not sure if that's by design or not (the 5 litre is far thicker). It arrived next day and now I was simply waiting for the right weather and moment to start the job!! The moment had come, the weather was good - sun was out, slight breeze but I was committed to getting this done - The renovation will start in a week or so and we go away for a week, so I had to just take the plunge!! I put everything together which is super easy, filled the canister with paint and pinged on the power and then WOW. This thing is exceptional for the cost. It sprays evenly, consistently, no clogging, very little spray excess (there was a light breeze), clean, effective coverage - it was just a joy to use! Don't get me wrong, after a short period of time my arm was aching, that's not a product issue, that's holding a heavy paint in a canister moving up and down. I'd completed the work I wanted to do within 30-40 mins (it would have taken days by hand) and then I decided to continue to 'touch up' the rest of the fence that had been painted in stages over the years which had elements of a green mossy substance starting to appear - mostly the side slats and the inner fence. Well, needless to say I'd repainted the whole thing within another hour! I couldn't believe how simple this process was and I'd kept saying to the wife exactly that - I cannot believe how quick and easy that was and why didn't I do that sooner!! Anyway, I hope this review helps if you are looking for a Fence/Decking sprayer to do the job - this thing is more than adequate! I'm already excitedly deliberating my next project!! Best £50 I've spent in a LONG time!! Fantastic product, easy to use and most importantly - a major time saver!!!

What a fantastic product! This basic sprayer has made painting over 40 fence panels a breeze. As a homeowner, I was initially daunted by the thought of painting by hand with a brush, especially since that’s how I did it 7 years ago. But this sprayer not only makes the job easy, it also makes it manageable. It’s saved me hundreds of pounds I would have spent hiring a painter for sure! Even with Cuprinol Ducksback, there were no issues—just dilute it with about 20% water and you're good to go. My TOP TIP: invest in a paint mixing paddle. When you open each tin, give the paint a thorough mix with the water. Take your time—getting a good mix is key, as any clumps can clog the sprayer nozzle and slow you down, I can't emphasise enough how important this step is, they're fairly cheap from Amazon or any DIY shop, stick it in your drill and mix away until you're absolutely sure the paint is smooth as. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this product. It’s made the whole process so much easier!

Fantastic paint sprayer, what a difference time wise, painting with a brush took hours, now two 40' fences took less than 90 minutes, shoulder strap is a good idea, not a lot of noise, however my 4star review is all positive BUT my only disappointment is the length of the electric cable, its far to short, you need to start & Stop often to move everything, not a huge deal , more annoying another 2mtrs would be much better. I contacted the manufacturer to see if this could be done by an electrician, I was advised NO because it invalidates my guarantee.... other than that 👍. I used sprayable fence paint, good job. Super easy to clean.

Excellent bit of kit, I run it on about half the spray power which gives a good solid spray. Used it on new fencing panels and old and gave excellent cover, as well as saving on hand painting which is not only time consuming but arm aching. The only thing is the hose is a bit short, I know they give you a carrying strap but then the cable is shortened as well. Might by the extra long hose, saves dragging the pump along behind as I move. Well worth the money. We aware it gobbles paint which is why I bought an additional container which I refill from the paint can with a kitchen ladle, but it gives a solid coverage. Easy to clean after, and I finish off with a container full of clear water to ensure there are no bits of paint left.

This is amazing! I once lost 2 days of my life once painting a fence. Beyond me why I didn’t purchase one of these. Easy to use, does the job in half the time - quicker! Nice finish. Takes a bit of practise to get the feel of it - you need a bit of rhythm for evenness. Dries well. Would absolutely buy again. Have done quite a few projects with it already. Be aware it does give off a fine mist which spreads just a little - you find it on things further afield so make sure you cover up areas nearby and watch out for drips. I watered my paint down a little which I think made it easier to spray. Way better that those pump fence sprayers too. Worth spending the money on this. It was out of stock last time I check on amazon which is a good sign. Only down side is it needs refilling quite quickly - which is a small faff but by no means a deal breaker. Nun habe ich mich auch für eine farbsprühpistole entschieden da die Holzhütte mal wieder Farbe brauchte. Die Farbe wird in Windeseile rausgepustet so das man angenehm flott vorran kommt ein großer Vorteil wär es wenn man den Eimer Farbe einfach an das gerät Schrauben könnte , aber man kann ja nicht alles haben . Ansonsten wär noch zu sagen das Gerät ist natürlich laut was aber logisch ist wenn luft angesagt wird .

Slightly smaller than our last one & also lighter which is good. Our previous one lasted really well, so hopefully this one will too. A tip is to keep the silicone hose & little blue bung very clean so they don't block up with paint when not in use.

Très bon produit normalement mais inutilisable en France car mauvaise fiche électrique.

Worked good first time, cleaned it out throughly and went to use it 2nd time and not spraying the paint, motor working but not sucking paint out of container.
